The audio is really bad distorted after the launch of vessel of hatred. Wasn’t like this before launch of dlc. Really bad in the towns and while on the horse and when there are lots of mobs the sound gets really bad and cuts in and out.

Same for me, but curiously only in DLC areas or in fights vs the new enemy type (f.e. during realmwalker events) … to be more precise: in the DLC Area a pack of 6-7 Monsters leads to heavy distortions, while a pack of 7 monsters (including 3 elites with ability sounds) in the Scouring Sands/Tarsarak/Khejistan does not induce the ear-r***.
So for me it cant really be a settings/system issue imo and must be tied to the new expansion models/enemies/surroundings/whatever … please look into it, Blizzard.

Yep, same issue here. Playing on PS4, the problem seems to be only affecting new content tho. Really weird. Sound in unbearable in larger groups of mobs.

I’m having the same issue. Although, I’m not sure if its only in new areas or while fighting new mobs, I think its been happening anywhere I get in a fight or ride my horse, but it really is super annoying and unbearable. (I am also on ps4)
Edit: I teleported to a Kejistan to fight some mobs and see if the sound would get glitchy again, but i didn’t. So yeah it seems to only happen with new mobs and features.

Same issue here also all new areas and enemies causing major sound distortion. The more playtime the worse it gets .

I just started playing this morning. Nasty Distortion when I’m doing the New Campaign… C’mon Blizz.
Has Blizz even recognized that this is a problem yet?

Same here on PS4. Almost unplayable. Mostly with big packs in the new region. It’s okay in instances - edit - also in old world Realm Walker event and Helltides. Anytime density increases beyond a couple of mobs

Well it looks like they don’t test last gen consoles. Because the sound is pretty much just broken and it wasn’t before the dlc.

I play on PS4 and I too have the same audio problem but only on PS4 because on PS5,PC and Xbox there are no these problems

Same issue here. Playing on ps4 and audio is awful. Never had any issues before the dlc. Makes me not want to play any new content as the sound is so abysmal.
