Enemies like the demon dogs or the demons that run to you and explode cannot be hit by attacks if they are standing directly on your character. They can hit you, but you have to move to hit them. Is this intended?
Yeah hitboxes are janky. Not sure if they plan to fix them. I have noticed hit box issues on larger bosses more than smaller ones. A good example that is easily repeatable, stand behind Elias during his cone-fire attack. You still get hit.
i’ve only noticed that if i’m up his butt, if i’m 1 inch behind him it misses
The exploding demons are lethal at higher tier nightmare, and they always run right to you and stand on your character. If you can’t hit them with other stuff going on you only have the option to evade out of the explosion, which can be challenging when I would expect them to get killed by my Ice Shard spam.
Yep, this is why I stopped using Raiment on shard sorc. Great, I get to pull everything in and nova it to death. Awesome, except that any mob which does survive I can’t hit without repositioning and probably getting beat on in the process.
AoE damage works, but direct damage just misses them.
IMO the Elias fight and the room before it with the Lunatics is artificial difficulty.
I was getting one shot by Lunatic explosions even though I was outside the AOE circle for it. The only way to clear the room was to kill them before they exploded.
Getting anywhere during the Elias fight was purely a matter of how his AOE spawned. Often there was no clear space to run or TP into and you are going to die in 1-2 hits, the small red circles were not consistent in density and spacing between attempts.
TBH I never really noticed an issue with the Elias fight, but the issue I notice all the time is when an enemy stands on me and it able to hit me with attacks, but I cannot hit them unless I move, which sometimes is not as easy as it sounds.
Its an issue ive been noticing, especially if you end up in a corner or back against a wall, you wont be able to attack anything.
It really adds to the clunkyness of combat from the lag and CC spam, now also sometimes you just wont attack if the mobs too close.
What the hell happened to this game to go from D3s buttery smooth combat to this…
You should try kicking and charging enemies as well, pushing them on top of terrain or into objects where you can do anything to them, it really adds to the frustration
The game is janky that way. Hope they do something about it
I used charge 1 time as soon as I was able to get the skill. I charged through a staircase under the world. I couldnt teleport or move. I logged out and logged back into a 5 minute queue. Literally took charge off my bar and havent tried to use it again since.

I use it a lot, but it tends to push things places they shouldn’t sometimes.
I’ve never fallen through the world because of it though!
That happened all by itself on the shipwrecks in the northern part of the game
This bug still exists and seriously need to be prioritized. Most evident with barb+leap and sorc+teleport.
