At a certain point

go get your refund. your account will get banned. if you think that’s a trade off worth while.

Think twice before believing that’s our fault. Next season/DLC it could happen to you. You never know.
Btw, I could also play only one weekend since DLC launch. Ran flawlessly before the DLC and now crashes every few minutes whatever I do.

What about console players that are getting reamed by problems? It’s definitely not their hardware or software since every console is basically the same. And don’t give me the ISP excuse, I know players with gigabit fiber hard lines having issues with VoH. It’s great that it works for you and others, myself included. But this release has been disastrous for many players. And much of the blame for that has to be placed squarely on Blizzard and their substandard QA. They claim the game is “live service” but they really don’t seem capable of delivering on that… hell, I doubt they actually know what it means. Other then they can offer it up as an excuse to wave away the myriad of problems with their product.

Just remember this when they try to sell you expansion 2.

Personally, I have learnt my lesson and will rather wait until a month into an expansion release before deciding whether to buy it or not.

Diablo 4: The Great Spirit Boi Heist
Blizzard had done it again. They’d managed to convince millions of gamers that paying $100 for a game expansion was a good deal. The latest installment, “The Spirit Boi Heist,” was a masterpiece of corporate greed.
The expansion’s centerpiece was the Spirit Boi class. A half-human, half-spirit creature who ran around in a rawhide bikini wielding a magical bone flute. He was, according to Blizzard, “a revolutionary new playstyle.” Gamers, however, were more interested in the fact that he was the only class worth playing.
The rest of the game was a disaster. Bugs abounded, servers crashed, and the mobile game-inspired UI was a constant source of frustration. Yet, despite all this, Blizzard was raking in billions. The average gamer, it seemed, was so casual they barely noticed the difference between a good game and a great rip-off.
On the forums, players were still complaining about the Lilith fight. “It’s too hard!” they cried, despite the fact that the boss had been nerfed to the ground months ago. Blizzard, of course, had the perfect solution: a series of overpriced cosmetics that would make your character look slightly less pathetic in the face of defeat.
The Spirit Boi Heist was a triumph for Blizzard. It was a testament to the power of marketing and the gullibility of gamers. And as long as there were people willing to pay $100 for a game that was barely worth $20, Blizzard would continue to churn out expansions that were more about profit than fun.

They made people pay to test their game for 5 seasons and this is what they came up with 150 dollars later.

Nvidia users revert to the (561.09) Game Ready Driver.

While that’s a good step it’s only one out of many… there are paging file issues, some glitches with hires assets, features like DirectStorage that don’t work reliably, etc. It would be nice if their tech section had a list of the most well known workarounds pinned to the top. Like, “Here’s the most recent nVidia/AMD/Intel driver we recommend” “Here’s how your paging files should be set” “How and why you might want to disable DirectStorage”. It shouldn’t be on the forum community to try to fix their problems. It should be a priority of Blizzard’s QA team.

I was having horrible crashing issues and several people suggested I revert my nvidia driver back to 561.09
and I did that last night and have not crashed once since then.

Don’t know if this helps but I thought it was worth mentioning.

How much heat can a turtle take before it ditches the Kool-Aid and finds a pond?

It must be on your end. I’ve crashed a total of 2 times since VOH launch. They most certainly fixed the issue on their side!

“It works for me!” is possibly the most useless retort in reply to an issue with any program. And 2 crashes is actually 2 crashes too many. I play entire seasons of D3 in HC with no crashes. Why can’t the D4 code be that robust?

And blaming problems on hardware or drivers is a joke when the console forums are fully of issues with the game crashing or malfunctioning in someway or another. That’s supposed to be the advantage of playing on a console, sure, you can’t customize it… but games should just work.

That does work but not on the 40series,I have a 3050 worked fine up until this season. Yes i had to roll back drivers to get it to work, new drivers often have problems.

Well that sucks. I’ve had one crash in 80+ hours this season.
