Aspects, add them to a list instead

Instead of getting an item when extracting aspect why not just add it to the aspect list as an under library?
Like standard you can get “Aspect of bigbrain” which add 100more IQ
From dungeons/chests/mobs etc. There is multiple version adding from 120-300 IQ
So instead of adding it to the inventory add a button under the standard aspect which shows the different versions you got and how many of each. Aka. 2x 175IQ and 1 255IQ
Just like when hovering over your aspects if shows a list of aspect youve got extracted

Just an idear! Those aspect piles up so fast

I dont understand the point of the codex, first they dont have all the aspects in it, second; the roll values are bare min,

I kept thinking they could have just made something similar to Division 2 recalibrarion library while managing my stash.

Yeah. Codex should have all the aspects in it, and it would be preferable if we could combine an extracted aspect with the codex one to get higher rolls, even if it required more mats. Like you combine a 30% and the base 20% from the Codex, and get a 40 or 45%. Combining multiple aspects of the same type could yield better relative results. Or maybe you could sacrifice the item and slightly increase the codex value one instead of extracting an aspect.

Codex is of relative use early on, and pretty much useless come WT4 except for some outliers that may be of use even with minimal roll.

They need to remove aspects from the inventory entirely and have them ALL go directly to the codex when extracted from a legendary, at minimum roll just like the current codex aspects.

Additionally, NM dungeons glyph xp stone (and rifts/other when they are implemented) should give you the choice between leveling a glyph or leveling an aspect from the codex. Eventually allowing the player to grind out a max roll aspect that can be used over and over from the codex for the remainder of that season.

or instead of the aspect, they give a dust or material, to like sprinkle the pages of the codex and you can level the affix like glyphs, after they add all the aspects of course.

I think they can add whatever aslong as its not filling up inventory space

It would make things way less tedious. Right now, you have to find a BiS item and a BiS Aspect for each item. If you ever dare moving your gear around (e.g. changing your gloves for a unique pair), you might have to find new aspects which, depending on the type, might come easy or not.

The codex system should have simply been like the glyph system for dungeons. Start at base, and level them up from minimum rolls to max over the course of a season. Adds another element of grinding for power, while eliminating bag/stash space clutter, and using an asset they already have in the game (codex)

They could just add in the ability to reroll an aspect using some mats

No ty! Then i need to farm more timegated content for forgotten Souls

Please no more reroll

Yeah, going with Codex exp would be the less clunky way to go with this while giving use to the Codex past early leveling.

I like it. It could also increase required mats slightly, I don’t care…

The imprint/extract/codex/inventory all work off each other to produce one giant convoluted mess and clutter in your already limited stash. Imo, imprint/extract is a horrible game mechanic and should’ve been scrapped very early when the idea was brought up but since they didnt they should’ve modified and streamlined it.

The simplest solution would’ve been to add all aspects into the codex and make the stat range based off the rolls from the codex itself. So lets say you’re trying to imprint an aspect, make it so that the imprinting process has the number range (i.e. 10-20%, 150-300,) . And you can keep imprinting to get better rolls if you have the mats. That would instantly solve not only the limited stash problem, make the codex useful other than just a placeholder until you find something better and also remove the pain of combing through aspects in stash/inv to find the one you need due to lack of the QoL search feature.

Ya but then the problem is RNG which is so freaking bad - id rather see the dust system where you can upgrade your aspects over time from the same aspect drops and maybe keep high rolls that you get randomly and ya whatever system that doesnt clutch up inventory is a better system

Devaluing imprints and potentially eliminating aspects altogether can help us avoid a Stash chocked with well rolled rares and legendary effects with maxed values.

If players can no longer imprint the highest possible legendary effect value, and can only find this gear in the wild, in totality our loot checking routine and storage decisions become much tighter – slowing down how frequently we interact with our stash and what we choose to include in it.

There are a couple of ways to accomplish this:

  1. Eliminate aspects altogether
  2. Raise legendary effect max values with the condition they cannot be imprinted at maximum potency.

1. Eliminating Aspects

  • Remove the aspect tab entirely as well as the option to use Aspects at the Occultist.
  • We can only imprint with our Codex.
  • We can only Extract legendary items to our Codex up to 50% of the highest possible value. Ie. (basic attack speed on non-amulets/2h weapons is typically 15%-30%, you can only store 22.5% as your base Codex value).
  • You can only max your legendary effects by finding the item in the wild with a roll higher than 50%.

2. Raise the Max Value of Legendary Effects

Similar to the first option, we can let the codex hold today’s current highest values. ie. The Codex will imprint Basic Attack Speed up to 30% on non-amulets/2h weapons, but instead the player has the opportunity further advance their gear by finding legendary items with up to 25% more potency.

  • Max Imprinted Basic Attack Speed: up to 30%
  • Max Found Basic Attack Speed: 37.5%

Today most legendary items are flawed, and never worn as is. This recommendation changes that, while helping to reduce the clutter an end game character may incur as they likely won’t hoard the 800+ quadfecta rares, which are all too common.
