> Hurricane damage is increased by (7-15)% each second while active.
What even is the point of this Aspect? The damage increase seems to be essentially unnoticeable, and even if you manage to maintain 100% uptime thanks to cooldown reduction effects, the damage scaling still STOPS at the end of the duration. It doesn’t stack meaningfully to any degree.
I can’t even figure out why they created this thing.
So the 17 damage meme could be 20 instead.
But seriously I felt the same way about the storm wolves unique pants.
Like, cool, an actual legitimate useless effect because wolves are bad! Must be a meme item!
Hurricane aspect is the same!
(I haven’t tried a full on companion build with pants. Who knows, might be amazing. And maybe there is some nifty hurricane stuff that can be done with that aspect? Doubt it on both counts, but whow knows?)
Only use for Companions seems to be that they can scale YOUR damage by 8% per Companion. That’s it…
Either way, add it to the pile of questionable druid decisions.
I just find it kinda sad how useless it is. I’m trying as best I can to scale the damage of Hurricane but it just… doesn’t do anything.
Sure it’s a good skill anyway (20% less damage and all), but whew. What a potato Aspect that one.
All I could think was “Aspect of the Potato” and it made me chuckle.
It’s one I wouldn’t use unless you’ve spec heavily into hurricane. There’s passives that extend its duration and several items that add extra ability levels. It can shred mobs pretty well then.
I mean this is what I did, just to test.
Ran CDR for 100% uptime, had +4 Hurricane Pants + all the duration possible, even scaled up its level by turning it into a Werewolf build and using Roar/Chest for the +4, and had +2 Wrath amulet.
After like 9 seconds of ramp up it was doing like 10% of an open world white mob’s health if you waited 1 full second, and the “duration” of Hurricane reset upon recast (which I kind of expected). That’s just tragic.
It was so useless.
Yeah - I just invested a little into testing this only to be disappointed… feelzbad
It’s a bug, my first build was around hurricane. I’m up to lvl 80, and we can maintain the overpower damage on the skill. damage should logically continue to increase.
Thank you kind sirs for doing the testing and posting about it. Because I was curious if 100% uptime would let it get crazy. Not surprised it doesn’t work though, if a little sad.
