Aspect of static cling bugged

The codex of power “aspect of static cling” incorrectly increased charged bolt cost by 5 mana and “last 300% longer” doesn’t work.

can confirm the same for the mana increase, last 300% works correctly when the proc is triggered though, they are not meant to be applied to all casts

Upon further testing, the increase isn’t 5 mana flat, when I have 10% mana cost reduction, without the aspect it would cost 27 mana to cast Charged Bolt, but with the aspect it will cost 34… so it increased by 7 in this case. So yeah basically you get penalized more the higher mana cost reduction you get, fix pleaseeee

After some more testing myself, it is the Aspect’s % bonus that is causing the increase in mana cost for Charged Bolts. I have two mana reduction amulets, one with a 25% Aspect of Static Cling bonus, and one with 36% bonus.

As I upgraded the amulet with 36% bonus, I checked my Charged Bolts mana cost with each upgrade. The mana cost of Charged Bolts reduced with upgrades, but my overall mana cost is higher with the 36% bonus amulet than the 25% bonus amulet.

Amulets for reference:
14.1% mana cost reduction, Aspect bonus 22.5%
Charged Bolts mana cost: 30

16.7% mana cost reduction, Aspect bonus 36%
Charged Bolts mana cost: 32

Charged Bolts mana cost with no amulet equipped: 29

This bug has gimped my character drastically. Mine is costing me 38 mana to cast. Losing one (sometimes two) full cast has nearly halved my dps from that spell.

38 is way too high to cast this and took me forever to figure what was causing this issue (Static Cling aspect).

Please fix asap!

2 patches released and still not fixed. I wonder if anyone from support team can see this post.

This is what they say. Up to you if you believe it or not.

I think they read all the reports, but I could be wrong.

at least fix the tooltip if this aspect is intended to increase the mana cost… from the datamine website… here is how the cost is calculated

SF_8 = 30 + (AffixIsEquipped(SNO.Affix.legendary_sorc_012) ? SF_7 * (Affix_Value_1#legendary_sorc_012/100) : 0)

Literally every build i try and come up with, the interactions dont work because of sorc bugs.

frustrating since i never get lighning related objects and now that i get one its bugged…

After skipping the entire season 1, I just came back before season 2 and found this bug was still there. It has been more than 4 months since the day I reported. Good job, Blizzard, no wonder this game couldn’t keep players.

Well they finally fixed this bug in season 2. Still plenty of other sorc bugs… like hydra burning damage lucky hit.
