These two items are not working together because The aspect of Metamorphic Stone changes Boulder from a Wrath Skill to a Core Skill. While the power on the Unique Amulet works, the wrath skill stat on it does not add ranks to boulder. Maybe the Aspect shoulder read “Boulder is now also a core skill”? or something.

This probably is an oversight. In the campfire chat they mentioned you can have an uptime of multiple boulders. So they had aspect of metamorphic stone in mind.
It should have been: +2 ranks to Boulder.
Then it always works, with or without metamorphic stone.
And while they are at it:
- Savage Boulder is the same effect as natural Boulder, but worse. Its a placeholder.
- lucky hit of 4%? Feels also like a placeholder number. Why so low?
Blizzard please look at this. This is clearly not designed as it. The only aspect and Unique of Boulder does not work with each other.
but you can have multiple boulders without metamorphic…i agree it would be nice to spam it while spamming tornados or something but its not mandatory

I replied earlier, but I was to fast with my conclusions.
I played with metamorphic stone myself in S1.
Although the aspect makes boulder a core skill, boulder itself does not move in the tree.
So +2 ranks to wrath skills should be visible with boulder increased by 2 ranks.
So in theory it should also work with metamorphic stone.
Can you explain a bit more why you think it doesn’t work?
it doesnt move from the tree but the skill gets the “core” tag and removes the “wrath” tag so it doesnt get the +4 wrath bonus

they could fix it adding the word “also” to the metamorphic aspect maybe??
Yeah I hope so too, I messed around with boulder in season 1 for fun and thought it was pretty cool. The new unique is amazing but should be fixed so that the legendary aspect associated with it doesn’t go against the grain of what the amulet is trying to do.
