I recently found Aspect of Inner Calm and I was pretty impress by it’s effect. I decided to imprint on a better item soon to realise that it’s not working as intend or if it is, it’s description is misleading.
What is standing still ? My guess is not moving, taking a step or teleporting of any kind. I think everyone can agree with that. But not the game. It seems that switching between attacks, as the game is built this way (generator/spender), somehow, resets your timer for standing still and sometime, it resets the whole thing.
This is happening with a rogue using puncture and barrage, standing still (with hold position button) while firering. Alternating those skills to get combo points.
It seems odds that standing still with a key button especially design for this, doesn’t allow you to build stacks of damage increase.
Is it a bug or it’s a misleading feature ?

Yo ! Yes I ve just noticed this “issue”. And if you check the DAMAGE State, it s moving too ! So I beleve we don’t have permanetly the bonus. Sometime you can do 2 spells with max bonus, sometimes, it reset. It s an issue i beleve

exactly, I wanted to use this aspect, but so far it’s useless.
I play a rogue, with the “combination points” specialization, I have to use the basic skill three times and then the main skill once. Each time the character changes from basic to main skill the counter is reset, which makes me unable to use the bonus.
Even worse is the situation if someone uses a primary skill only to reveal the target, then he uses the basic skill once and then the main one, and the counter of this aspect is still zero
Enshrouding Aspect - don’t work as well, i’m standing still holding “Shift” and no dark shadow appear, because Im using basic skill and main skill one after another, and Diablo 4 count it like a “move” 
so aspect is useless

Came here because I noticed the same issue. This is definitely bugged, you shouldn’t lose the bonus just because you change skills.
