Aspect of Adaptability: damage increase is not correctly applied to basic skills cast by the unique effect of the Greatstaff of the Crone

The second part of the effect of the Aspect of Adaptability reads:

When cast at or above 50% Maximum Resource, Basic Skills deal 40–80% increased damage.

The first part of the unique effect of the Greatstaff of the Crone reads:

Claw is now a Storm Skill and also casts Storm Strike

Going by the effect discriptions the damage increase of the Aspect of Adaptability should apply to a Storm Strike cast with the unique effect of the Greatstaff of the Crone but it does not.

I tested it on a Normal Training Dummy with a Storm Strike that didn’t have the enhancement / any of the upgrades cast with the Greatstaff of the Crone. No other procable damage dealing / enhancing effects were present. The value of the damage increase of the Aspect of Adaptability was 60%.

The non-critical damage ranged from around 2200-2300 to about 4500 with and without the Aspect of Adaptability which clearly indicates that the damage increase of the Aspect of Adaptability was not applied here in spite of all the stated conditions being met.

This aspect, and the unique Paingorger gauntlets do absolutely nothing for a stormclaw build. I was excited to get both, and after extensive testing found they did nothing for my build at all. These 2 items need a rework, or buff to actually do something for a basic attack focused build.

This aspect, Paingorgers Aspect, And the new Bone spirit aspect all fail to make any meaningful impact on basic builds.

Hopefully it is actually bugs and they haven’t just failed in the design of these aspects. I was really excited to play around with some off meta Basic builds, but the fact these items fail to meaningfully scale damage or synergise with other aspects makes them essentially unusable.

Terribly dissapointing.

Any updates to this? Was also looking forward to these items to see how it would help basic based builds, but this is quite disheartening if true. I had thought about testing myself once i got the aspect as 80% damage seemed like it might be noticeable and it did not feel any different.

Aspect of adaptability does not work at all for a sorc in the new season. wanted to use it to level a little faster. no dmg upgrade at all.
