Apologies if stupid question; When extracting and saving good roll aspects how do they work? Like I tested extracting an aspect that was a number value deep freeze ice spikes and put it on an amulet. It keeps the static exact value from the previous item extraction and yet the range on the new item is bigger. This seems incorrect since the percentage roll of the aspect should apply to the item in question.
What I dont get is if I didnt a different percentage aspect like ice shards % from a 1 hand at 23% and put that on a normal armor item that has a max of 20% what happens? I thought this should be based on a x% roll range but it isnt working as I expected. Thoughts?
I assume the item is upgraded? This raises the item level and the range, but the roll doesn’t change since it’s already rolled.
Amulets and 2H weapons get 50% and 100% boost respectively compared to aspects in other slots.
My +32% damage vs stunned aspect extracted from a 1H weapon is 64% when i put it on my 2H hammer.
No, the items had no upgrades but they were separate item powers from being farmed at different levels
Is the item you imprinted it on ancestral or sacred?
Sacred /20 characters
What TatsumakiJim said is your answer. Aspects on Amulets are 50% stronger, on 2h weapons they are 100% stronger.
Reason it is confusing is the item I tested literally says: While Deep Freeze is active, exploding Ice Spikes form in the area dealing 313 (664-930) cold damage.
It took the static value from the old item and put directly on yet the range on new item is higher than the min. This doesnt max sense
Ok. If i have an aspect that normally does 2%-4% ice spike damage, for example, it would roll between 2%-4% on every item except amulet and 2h weapon. On amulet it would roll between 3%-6% and on 2h weapons it would roll 4%-8%.
I get the multiplier logic, Im saying in actual testing of a extract/imprint it isnt working like that. I have the tooltip to show the range something would be and as noted above why is the 313 imprinted on something that the range is 664-930? Do we just not imprint flat number aspects and only percentage?
What exactly does the aspect say though, because i am not sure i understand what you mean?
Does it say: “While Deep Freeze is active, exploding Ice Spikes form an area, dealing 313 Cold Damage. Your Ice Spikes have 664-930 increased explosion radius.”
Nah the item normal view just says dealing 313 cold damage. The 664-930 is the gray range when you have the setting enabled to see roll ranges. I think the takeaway from what Im seeing is if you take a extraction of an aspect that is a flat value it just carries that number over regardless of item slot type or roll range. The other aspects that are % like you gain 25% dmg for X ability probably work as expected.
I’m having the same issue. It looks like imprinted aspects with an actual damage amount vice %multiplier don’t scale with your level like stock legendaries do. it snapshots what the damage is on the item you extracted from and that’s all she wrote.
Same issue here.
On my staff it says my Ice spikes deal 513 but the range is [932-1,399]. (using blizzard)
This is only with imprinted because I have my amulet with Ice spikes (using Ice armor) that after upgrading, the damage increases.
Since it shows the range I’m assuming its a bug, however if this is intended, here’s my two cents.
Aspects should snapshot the range it was in an not the actual value. Its a weird nerf to aspects that have actual numbers involved.
I could extract an aspect from a lvl 10 chest piece that says “take 15% less damage while standing in your Blizzard” and apply it to my lvl 100 chest piece and it will still be 15%.
So why are flat values nerfed and show what it could be?
Agreed, I would have expected the extract to snapshot an internal percentage coefficient of the range and then use that to apply value to whatever item. For now I only keep the highest value I find in the bank and salv the others.
I cant find a lot of people talking about this but I just encountered this today. Moved an aspect from my 1h to my 2h and the values stayed the same. I have been imprinting without any issues up until today. I am going to say this an unintended bug that is occasionally popping up as I have seen a few ppl report this, but not many.
Same here. This makes no sense.
But here is the worst part. Same for the aspects from codex. Which are not extracted from item.
I am not sure how it works here, but seems that the value on aspect was based on my lvl when i completed the dungeon…
So now i take a new item, take aspect from CODEX, and it says: …gives shield 61 (100-216). And it imprints absolute value of 61 with the range 100-216 written on item lol… why the range is there but has no impact at all
On different items (both chest) with different ilvl it writes different ranges… i checked it…
I would be ok if it was for rare aspects only - drop like.
And I dont know what to do now. Will I get an upgrade if I complete the dungeon again??? Not sure.
I was even ok with the fact that percantage rolls on imprinting from codex are always the lowest…
But these absolute values somehow imptinted in codex aspects is ridiculous… so if i went to a dungeon on level 15. Then the aspect from it is unusable for the endgame content. Wtf
Now at t3 world this aspect is useless for me. And it is from the codex, i remind
Also, the fact that extracted aspect only can be used once after extraction is upsetting too.
These two ridiculous game design decisions today made wanna stop playing the game…
I have the same issue. The +100% on 2h seem to not work. In the Preview while enchanting with the same aspect it doesnt matter what kind of item you put in. Always the same Numbers. And you will get what you see. Tested it and wasted my aspect only to be left disappointed with my bad roll on 2h that should have been +100%
