Aspect-Imprinting

Hi all,

It’s been awhile since I played D4 and I recall when I use to imprint items (before the recent changes) that there were some powers that doubled on 2H 2wpns and 50% on amulets. It would state that in game.

However, using the new system, I can’t find that information anymore. Can someone tell me where I should be able to see it or if it’s just gone?

Thanks!

aspects on 2 handed weapons get a 100% buff, and on amulets a 50% buff. didnt change.

Thanks, even though it didn’t change. Is there anywhere in game that displays this information?

I would say the only place it displays it now would be as you’re imprinting it. You’d have to look at the preview of the item. Not what you’re asking for I know, but I can’t think of a tooltip that says this anymore. Possibly on a loading screen? I’m not sure though.

Remember only the blue values change. So if you see a number in yellow that won’t double.

Like you might see 50%(yellow) chance to do 10,000(blue) damage.

Then the 10,000 will doubt but the 50% won’t.

Just put in a 2-H weapon or Ammy in the slot and pick your aspect and it slot under the weapon will show you the end result.

Did you extract it from a 2h and expect it to double again when you imprint on another 2h? I’m not being snarky, some players have done that and didn’t realize it loses 50% when going in the Codex.

Thanks. Basically saying it doesn’t displaying it anywhere else besides showing the final results, does answer my question :).

I wish it was like the old way so that when I’m looking through the aspect powers, I can easily know which one should go on a wpn/amulet due to increase in power.

I think with the change it’s just …“Assumed” at his point, that everyone knows that “Offensive” Aspects on 2h Weapons and “All” Aspects on Amulets will be +100% and +50% respectively.

You are correct though:

It appears that with their excellent revamping(much props Devs!) of one of the clunkiest designs I’d ever seen - that there’s no DIRECT reference any longer.

As @Iggi said:

I checked “My Collection”, All Aspects at the Occultist and the newly implemented “Game Guide” [esc] → [Game Guide] → Occultist = No information.
This should definitely be included for New Players as it’s currently nowhere to be found.

Good find.
Assuming, as I said, that it’s “Common Knowledge” at this point doesn’t help new players at all - especially when it was explicitly listed on every single Aspect(when they were physical objects).

What I immediately saw was that they did a rather extensive “Word Crunch” - if you look at your personal “Collection” - you’ll see some Aspects have limited descriptions vs Aspects on items or at Occultist.

I’m going to post about this in the Bug Report forum or maybe Technical - idk which would be best.
Blizz needs to at the very least have this information available for players in the Game Guide under Occultist.
Advice people - where to post it?

@MerLock - good find. I’m going to link your post here when I make my own about it to bring it to their attention.
