It’s not worth grinding out a character that’s going to be wiped in two days for a cosmetic only item when you end up in a boss group with random people who have no idea what they’re doing. Deleting the beta so I don’t waste any more time on this.

But isn’t that what makes the reward look so epic? you carried balls of noobs and grinded it out in such a small time frame?

I just went to my 4th attempt. We killed it on the second attempt. But every other try has been a failure because of level 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 people showing up, making the boss harder with their presence, doing zero damage, dying constantly, not even bothering to rez anyone who DOES do the damage, and they are wearing crap blues and NOTHING is upgraded or gemmed.

O yall got to fight it again? my world boss didnt even spawn 
look for an ingame group or join the official discord and look for a group. also, scale your world tier down to 1, makes a huge difference.
The boss is still scaled to level 25
I would be surprised if anyone kills it outside of using interesting mechanics
Have you tried being helpful to people who don’t know what they are doing?
This took two attempts for me. 20 minutes before start people showed up. I told in local chat if you don’t have poison elixer go get one now. A few did.
10 minutes before I told them where to stand to avoid attacks and to revive each other and not revive at checkpoint.
2 minutes before I reminded them where to stand to avoid damage and to not self revive.
First minute was a little rough but people caught on quick. Wasn’t bad.

I have now fought that boss 3 times and won every time.
The last one we killed it with 5 minutes left.
The first time I was the low level Necro at 15. But I died the least and ran support at the edges, reviving and using ranged attacks.
Kills me how many of these posts are popping up, like they expected an over-tuned world boss to be easy.
If you didn’t know you would have to build for single target and didn’t look at the mechanics of the fight beforehand, then you weren’t ready for it. Preparation is the key to victory.

It’s on a 3 hour timer. Started at 9 am PDT and runs until tomorrow 9 am PDT. So you have some more tries depending on your schedule.
No, this makes the reward stupid. I will tell you why. It’s RNG based, doesn’t matter how good or bad you are, if you find a group that worked out, you will kill the boss. If the group doesn’t work out, you won’t kill the boss. It just don’t matter how good your own “skill” is. I bet that there are also players way worse then you, and they managed to get the kill, because other players carry for them.
There are people who claimed to have played with 15 to 20 people in one instance, while I don’t get more than 7, how fair is that?
I also had two times level 12’s and 15’s in my group, this also decreases my win chances. Yeah, epic cosmetics…
Diablo 4 isn’t technical ready for these kind of events, period. We need matchmaking or group finding mechanics, to find decent and full groups. And now many people miss out a cosmetic, while this is a test and it doesn’t work out.
I would say, everyone who tried a few times should also be eligible for the reward.

We aren’t saying the boss is too hard.
We aren’t saying it’s not possible.
We are saying that when you have bad RNG’s coming, it makes it a fail. And no matter how good YOU are, THEM being bad ruins the encounter.
And for a 3 hour wait with getting not a damn thing if you fail after trying for 15 minutes, it can wear at your morale.
Don’t sh!t on people while they’re down. Being understanding costs nothing.
Direct your ire at the level 12’s who show up in a garbage spec with blues on…who don’t know how to push the space key.

I get the frustration and i don’t really want to defend it too much. Gw2 has ow events and the best ones imo are ones where it only takes a few people who know what they’re doing to win. I was just pointing out that some elitists may wear it as a badge of honor. I’m going to farm a few more aspects and give a couple more tries ans then i’ll be done. Also not bothering with veteran with so few legendaries.
It was frustrating trying it on my last attempt clearly stating before that anyone under level 20 wasn’t helping and having them stick around anyway.
It was frustrating because it felt like some people were leeching, like they were far north and not engaging but i could see their yellow dot. Didn’t seem like corpse running unless there was more than 1 spawn point
It was frustrating because almost no one could figure out the telegraphs. Like i was very imperfect but like most of the people i was with just couldn’t handle it.
I actually don’t mind carrying in gw2 or other places as long as it’s possible to.
You don’t need to grind out anything. You just need to be level 20. You don’t need upgraded gear. You don’t need legendaries. You don’t need elixirs. You don’t need sockets and gems. You don’t even need more than a few people.
You just need to learn the fight.
