Word. They realy droped the ball on this one. Well there are other games that you actualy have fun with. Cheers.
Something tells me this statement is actually not far off. Why though is the question. Isnāt the whole idea to push cosmetics and battlepasses? I mean the seasonal content was already mediocre. The game itself is filled with glaring qol/core issues. Perhaps you are right in what you say here.
Are they trying to kill the servers so they arenāt spending money on maintenance? Otherwise, Iām not sure quite sure what they are going after with these decisions. None of it makes any sense.
Really ? Cause to me there isnt anything worse than Legion and Shadowlands
even draenor was better lol
As a casual Diablo fan - I donāt care.
you thought wrong. you donāt speak for everyone. and you donāt understand game balance. itās unfortunate that people got used to being way overpowered, and because of that people are going to feel bad and stop playing, but this patch will still have created a more balanced (not balanced, but closer) game with power levels more in line with where we shouldāve been from launch.
thereās no reason why we should be able to solo the wt3 capstone and enter wt4 at lvl 58 and then do nm dungeons 20 levels above from that point on. iāve been expecting massive nerfs for the last few weeks. the only reason why i thought blizzard might fail to do so would be to cave to all of the whiners. iām glad they didnāt.
but really, the community will be better off if everyone threatening to leave over this just leaves.
And if you look at the amount of likes the poster got compared to the first comment not agreeing, you kinda see a trend no? Good for you, you`re happy. Most arent. And by most i mean the overwhelming majority of players who paid 100 dollars for this bull"#¤! Anjoy this dead game. I bet it wont be long until the last white night on this forum has had enough too and quits.
Some guy on other thread claimed his survivability went up despite the nerfs to defense. I guess I should ask for this footage as well.
great postā¦Also agree that if nothing changesā¦Iām out
I understand and agree with your sentiment, but youāre missing the whole point of what they did. The patch isnāt for the players, the patch is for the statistics measured by the corporation. Everyone playing today, investing time today, is an unpaid tester.
You paid for the privilege of getting to the endgame faster than normal so you could test their broken class system for them.
They now have statistics about time to reach endgame, build types, bugs, player engagement, power imbalances, etc.
Im sure that all helps to drive their corporate decisions and their negotiations with Microsoft.
Iām not saying you should like paying for the privilege of getting slapped around and treated like crap. Im just saying, likely no one at corporate cares how we feel about what they just did.
Remember if they get purchased, itās highly unlikely that any of the executives that made these crap decisions will be around in 8 months. Theyāre going to cash out and go count their money on the beach.
I just donāt have random hate b*ners for mediocre balance patches. Thatās all.
Nah, its definitely NGE patch for SWG. That was the worst patch for any game ever. It literally tanked the game.
He may not speak for you but he does for a lot of people. Just look at his like count compared to yours. This patch is a dumpster fire.
Played blizzard games since Diablo 2 and StarCraft 1. Gonna AFK from this patch until next patch, bye bye , back to my StarCraft 2 . Cheers
You canāt be serious with this. Of course it felt ok to you. The mobs are lower level than you at that sigil level vs your level.
Many nerfs were needed especially to my class the druid that was overperforming compared to other classes and some builds were FAR better than others.
Its better to nerf stuff than to buff it in most cases then build from there.
Couldnāt have said it better myself. Diablo has primarily been a PvE game, so why make the game less enjoyable? The scaling was already an issue. I only played through the campaign to lvl 46. Yes the campaign was enjoyable, but the grinding gameplay was not. I was looking forward to season 1, but now, unsure if Iāll even attempt it. Leveling to a point where you can start hunting for real loot, shouldnāt be so long. The loot is the enjoyable part, but just seeing blues and yellows all the time isnāt fun. Look at your previous versions Blizzard, power leveling to get to Baal and Rift runs, were what we wanted to get to, the general grind to start doing that isnāt all that fun, and should be faster. Start listening to your community!
So you are OK with something that just came out being nerfed by up to 40%? That doesnāt scream inept to you? Poor design? Poor testing?
40% nerfs should happen down the road after power creep.
tbh given how lackluster S1ās content is & the devs straight up disdain for playerbase by nerfing everything w/o fixing weaker builds (so they just even weaker) I see this game going the OW2 way.
itāll lose its hardcore fans but keep the ppl who donāt know any better until they get bored and leave to next fomo.
and D4 paired with OW2ās lie about content & then charging for (crappy) new pve stuff they have no IP in good standings with fans anymore except WoW (and that canāt last forever)
Open world sandbox amazing game to the most linear derivative game ever. RIP SWG, although I would take back NGE SWG over no SWG.
I really wish it would have made it to the Daybreak sell off versus canceled outright.
100% ^^
Been playing all diablo games more than any other game (all but one season in d3). The biggest appeal has always been the feel of being powerful and yet find challenges in higher tier events. The progression is fun because grind is still a wreck fest. The builds are powerful without much cap (D3 paragons hello).
D4 is now swaying towards a grind forever with a squishy s tier build. a total grind fest with so many hard stops and limits yielding in endless hours for little to no reward. helltide was fun because we can destroy everything and while drops are mostly useless it is still fun and rewarding going through the sheer amount of legendaries that drop just in case something interesting drops.
With already crappy pool of gear dropping, The enchanting prioritized affixes + cash requirements is ridiculous (~ +90 million currency to RNG a non prioritized affix??).
When pretty much all drops useless for end game, enchanting is only ever an option for prioritized affixes (thankful armor is part of it after this nerf).
So with helltide nerf, you really need to pray for high Poweritem as well as 3 non prioritized affixes with decent rolls). Can we unlock a treasure vault for end game?
Seems like D4 is targeting an audience that have endless time to grind forever. Now I donāt mind moderate grind if I feel like my build is capable and drops are frequent but crappy, atleast it triggers my endorphins.
With Recent nerfs, S tier character feels so squishy even with maxed defense affixes/attribs, my brain just wonāt enter that zen meditational state that makes diablo such an awesome game to casually play, I can just destroying everything and enjoying even the frequent useless drops.
Definitely taking a break and going back to D3 and D2 that still rocks and enjoyable (year after year).
I bet D4 will get there, just not anytime soon.
