Goblins aren’t relevant. They could be replaced with a stationary pinata that we tap and the experience would be the same.
I rarely know which goblin i encountered until i see its loot.

Helltide goblins are just standard goblins but they do drop a few cinders, unless that changed in s8. Would be fun to see a variant that gives a massive cinder explosion.

They do, wouldn’t say it’s a lot, about the same as killing an elite. OP may be asking for a specific Helltide variant of a goblin that only drops a plethora of cinders though.

If this were a thing, i’d like to see the current variety of goblins just also drop a truckload of cinders when they appear in helltide, instead of a new cinder-only goblin. It wouldn’t significantly imbalance anything. It would just make it more special that those goblins found themselves in helltide and started collecting burning little shinies.

Since they took away boss mats from standard treasure goblins they could put some back to each goblin type and or make a boss mat goblin. Whilst gel gob drops boss mats good, it’s too infrequent. Saw one while levelling and then none into 200s. Seeing very little non dupe / botted boss mat sale by players which is a pretty good indication the environment is now hoovering up mats better than players are accessing them for the most part.
Remember when fear used to drop in NMD? Gone too. Solving stash tab limits by mats not being readily available isn’t a solution.
Cinder goblin seems in theme for Helltide too.
A red goblin that pops into smaller ones like the blue one would be fun, but instead of a lot legendaries they drop a load of cinder.
