Following up on the recent news about whats considered as third party programs, there are several interactive maps which show locations of statues and tracks the completed quests and also where to find certain side quests, are these permitted in accordance to the ToS or not for Diablo 4? I would think so as programs and add ons for World of Warcraft are more sophisticated and aid the player much more than that however I wanted to check. Such interactive maps are through Curse Forge / Overwolf which are the main supplier for addons for WoW so following that one would assume it is permitted.
Also if the interactive maps are not permitted then what means can we track quest progression as we have no completed quest log which makes tracking completed quests for achievements harder than it needs to be.
People will tell you no, but it’s probably fine.

Exactly. They cant tell you that you cant have a map of the game open on your browser thats not a third party program running in game. If you have two screens its pretty common.
Heck for elden ring, it was almost required
So long as it is not software interacting directly with the game, it’s fine. Those 3rd party map sites are fine - you’re using them as reference, not in actually playing. Using one to see "Oh, there’s an Altar of Lilith over in that area’, you know where to go. They aren’t marking it on the map in game.

if its a software that you install and makes a difference on your ingame map its not allowed, whether you will get banned for it or not i cant say, but its definitely not allowed.
if its you going on firefox to a website with an interactive map, tthats fine.

I find it honestly so sad how the devs have fallen so far from what Diablo use to be. PoE2 though looking more amazing by the day and did you guys see the Sorc? Like casting damage spells and you still have mana to cast it again say what! Man does GGG know how to make an ARPG take some notes Diablo 4 devs cause this game should have been that times 2.
