Having a filter for phobia’s, in a horror/dark fantasy game rated M for mature, is ridiculous.

IKR? If stuff like that freaks a person out, well, just don’t play the game. What will they ask for next - I’m afraid of dogs so get rid of the dog in town?

on articles like that unless they are supposedly all in the walls, attic, and basement. Same with the one of people eating spiders in their sleep lmao. Spiders know not to crawl in your mouth and it’s impossible to even make a study like this.
lol … we players cant get a simple option TURN OFF LIGHT RADIUS … it will literally take 5 minutes to make it … for 20 years, still nothing …

hello, as a community that loves diablo 4, we have a lot of arachnophia friends among us, now most game developers take us into account and add arachnophia safe mode to their games, please add this in diablo 4, we want to play the game…
If you are so scared of spiders that pixels on a screen you know arent real are a problem, may I suggest a psychiatrist and not playing?

I happen to think spiders are very cool. Especially jumping spiders. They hang-out on my indoor plants, ambush and eat the bugs trying to eat my plant. I think they might be pets?
Your wife must learn to fight her Arachnophobia by smashing them.

spiders are one of the commonly and overly used monsters in games for some reason artists have been studying them in detail and enjoys rebuilding their features in games

Do Star Wars and Hogwarts Legacy have caves with moving spider legs growing out of the walls? Because Diablo 4 does. What are they going to do, blur the entire cave?
A request like that “just because another game did it” is unreasonable. I have arachnophobia too. Spiders make me uncomfortable. Hell, playing Hearts of Stone in the Witcher 3 was one of the most uncomfortable gaming experiences I’ve ever had, because that has the most disgusting fictional spiders ever.
My take? If you can’t handle a game with spiders, don’t play it. What are we going to remove next? All blood and gore because someone is scared of blood?

Black widows aren’t actually deadly to humans. It’s unfortunate that many organisms get killed due to rumors and misunderstandings.
Something to consider as humans spread all over the world. That belief will leave them with nowhere to live.
(Our grandparents could regularly encounter many more species than our generation ever will).

There is no safer way to deal with arachnophobia than in a controlled virtual environment like D4.
Trust me I remember the Spiders in the Catacombs, Act 1 in D2 back when i was a kid.
Used to sh!t myself but now in D4 I actually zoomed in on them to see the details in their face. I laughed afterwards when i was thinking back of the very same old memory.
She is a grown up, time to face her fears.
I support arachnophobia mode. It also excludes me from playing the game.
To the others in the forum, quit your abuse! You have no idea how complex phobias can be. What you all describe from your knowledge isn’t phobia; it’s fear. Learn the difference. Phobias are not a result of being a coward or immature. They are very real, very complex issues that y’all apparently have 0 knowledge of nor appreciation for.

I really will never understand why people be so pressed over others just asking for something. Like why does this effect you so??? All YOU would have to do is just not use the filter. Sheesh I truly feel like people are way to sensitive to others sensitivity.

If a 2D screen is something that actually scares her, it might be time for a professional. All the people I know who have an aversion to arachnids appreciate being able to kill them in this game…
