Haven’t seen anything on the forums, and had to be told in voice by a friend in game. Apparently if you salvage ancestral gear for an aspect, you can no longer upgrade that aspect with non-ancestral gear. I thought I noticed this happening, but thought I must have just misread the aspect, and it wasn’t actually better.
Considering I was going outta my way to scrap ancestral for the season goal, it would be great if this wasn’t happening.

They said it should function where you can only get an aspect so high off normal legendaries and you can only find max rolls on ancestral. They need to rethink this.
I’m at exactly one aspect maxed at 200 paragon. My season journey is over. My build is nearly flawless completed, but here I am running aspects that are far under max rolls. There just isn’t enough ancestrals dropping to warrant the codex working this way unless ancestrals will always have a max roll aspect.

Yep, I am sitting at 16/21 on all my used aspects and I’m about done with this character.

well that would explain why all the aspects im using aren’t maxed. Great

My suggestion to fix this would be to let all ranks drop up to the final rank. For example, you can get to 20/21. The final one would have to come from an ancestral drop that is guaranteed to be max roll.
It’s not perfect, but if they insist we keep this system it would feel a lot better. Nothing like getting an ancestral with a 1/21 roll.
