Did you see how much punishment the enemies were taking? And that was from an optimized BL Sorc playing well.
I’m glad it’s just for this season, hopefully future pinnacle content will be transferable to Eternal and more reasonably balanced. Dude was only on the 10th floor, and it gets exponentially crazier. Heck even on the first floor they were taking a beating.
When HotA doing Billions becomes the expected norm just to get your foot through the door that’s a problem.
Some of the mobs were taking 10-15 seconds to kill.
From a highly optimized BL Sorc. NMD 100 bosses can be melted in 3 or less. And that’s just the trash mobs, nevermind elites or the 3 blood seekers that spawn at the end.
What? It took more than 1 shot to kill something? Then you got hit and TOOK DAMAGE? What is happening here? ps- when I saw he had 12k life I was shocked he didnt die in the tier 1 dungeon. lol
True, but the dungeon is set up to require it the further you go in as they are focused on scaling enemy HP rather than damage because otherwise you wouldn’t be able to survive being sneezed on.
whats happening here is they specifically said theyre not interested in scaling the damage mobs do infinetely, so what we’re getting is damage sponges that take half a minute to kill.
AoZ not as hard as they saying. Level 1 is the same as t100 now. But you forget there is not red ghosts or ballistas. There is no annoying map modifiers. It is easy mode for the first tier. My problem is there is NOTHING for defensive nodes in some classes glyphs in range. The new unique glyph nice and all but you notice it is all Damage no defense? In a dungeon that kicks you for a single death you would think the loot would be more defense oriented.
They aren’t scaling mob dmg much at all. The T10 showcase had lvl 157 mobs vs. T1 at lvl 155, so roughly 1 mob level per 5 tiers. Means T25 is only lvl 160 mobs, which barely hit harder than current NMD100 (you will need 13.6k armor to reach cap vs. NMD100 13.2k)
Even the lvl 10 one did not look very bad. If he had 5k more life he would have been fine. If that’s supposed to be a NM 125? I think that goal is reachable by anyone here. You included. Wink.
Also, limit the availability of healing potions more, so that while it is great if things are not oneshotting, the dmg they deal should be felt over time.
We don’t have a bane of the sticken type effect here in D4, so I don’t think the fights will be that long. The timer is set to 10 minutes so I think there is a cap on HPs the monsters get.
I agree. It’s hard but it doesn’t look like it’s hard as how they initially mentioned AoZ. I am happy to reach T10 with my non Ball Sorcs. Anything beyond that would be a big personal win for me.
They are making it as difficult as possible to set releastic power levels for the future.
It was not an optimized BL build by any means. It was an average build loaded with a few ubers, and he only used one (Tibault’s) on the T10. He didn’t even equip the specific AoZ Glyph.
Once again they failed to fully communicate, and it has to be put into perspective by players.
he wasnt using the aoz glyph. at lvl 1 its 2% dmg per 5 stats purchased in area. at level 200 it will be 22% dmg per 5 stats. if you use the glyph and level it, the content will just get easier and easier.
