AoZ - content for 0.1% of players, where is the content for 99% players?

Not everyone is as fortunate. I’m lucky enough to have the dr and total armor but it becomes exclusive to a certain point.

Good gear is good gear.
If you got a perfect Armor % DR DR DR for example at lvl 60 while visiting your 1st T4 World Boss…I mean, does it matter it was at 60?
No. It’s a perfect item.

Anyway - some of the best items I’ve “found” have come from Vendors.
No complaints here…

Edit and addition: I say this neglecting your point and THE point possibly - that there’s a scarcity.
That’s the current Affix Bloat. Confetti affixes all mixed together. RNG+ so to speak.
Idk how much you play or how much you’ve farmed - but I rarely ever see direct upgrades and I’m still looking for refined items. I get your point basically if that’s what you were getting at.
Remember too - though it feels less with Armor(except gloves…lord) - Weapons and certainly Rings have a ‘weighted feel’ to them regarding Affix Values.
It doesn’t help that 900-925 items are largely gated behind so few sources when in fact they’re supposed to be more common in NMD 100(or so it was assumed by many via patch notes).
You’ll find good items - just not always of high Item Power.

That purple helltide for casuals, free cosmetics to boot and just grinding soft goatman on the streets.

Equip Hemomancy, run past pick up loot, felt powerful AF then start telling everyone the game is fun and fine. Win :raised_hands:

Not everyone can fight in the Kumite!

Bloodsport (1988) Fight Montage (youtube.com)

it’s there for the cry baby’s who complaint that the game was to easy if you are not one of them leave that content for what it is ‘‘super hard’’.

That reflects what I feel like is one of the major issues with the game. Itemization doesn’t really improve with item levels or as you move into more difficult content in the game. There is no real carrot for progression to do harder content. AoZ is a prime example. The only draw there is a glyph. Anything else that drops there can be had elsewhere at a fraction of the difficulty.

For me, playing HOTA, I can 1-3 shot Duriel so there’s no challenge there, but that’s where my major upgrades are gated. Farming the mats isn’t a challenge, it’s simply a time sink. Grinding mats isn’t challenging, it’s boring.

Lilith was the opposite. An actual challenging fight for so many, but dropped RNG garbage.

I amassed small fortune in gold and used it to buy a bunch of Duriel mats. Even killing him is so tediously repetitive that it makes me wonder what they were thinking with that. About a minute then port out, reset, run it again. About as entertaining as just dumping all the mats into a bin and getting the appropriate number of loot rolls.

Drops in aoz are quite good. All the non uber uniques drop inside. I got 2 40& tiba pants, 76 temerity (high life) tons of 925s. Good aspect drops. The key is speed. Do runs you can do in 2-3 minutes. After the run go right back in. Buy 6 keys at once. Do em until your pack is full.
Much better drops than nm dungeons.

I actually replayed the campaign to start the season. If they would give us the option to enter in at WT3 or WT4 or to replay at a higher level that would be Hugh for the other 99.9%ers. It would offer a challenge along with faster progression and would help people better understand how to build early to play the most challenging content.

As the game is made now, it’s a pushover until you get to around NM90 or higher. The only challenge comes from pushing those at a relatively low level. Then along comes AoZ and turns builds inside out, only players have been programmed to build as offensive as possible and they aren’t ready for the challenge.

Eventually AoZ becomes tedious and lazy through artificial difficulty in the form of bullet sponges who can also one shot you while eating your hardest hitting skills.

All this to gain temporary powers in a game mode that they are testing on live.

Here is the sad reality:

The lead devs instructed their staff to gift wrap their tears. Basically so that you didn’t have to shed your own tears because you aren’t part of the 1%.

NOW! if you aren’t the 1-2 specs that can effectively 1 shot Uber Lilith or farm AoZ to level the tears … Don’t worry!

Blizzard is so heartless that they are going to take the gift away after Christmas!!

That’s right! It’s taking its gifts back from little kids all over the world!!!

Season 1, 2…3???

You can play but you can’t keep anything.

Who knows maybe you can keep the expansion? We’ll see

ya i got a pair of gloves i sold for 500mil from aoz. cant complain about the drops

Except you were probably just as likely to get those anywhere.

actually i have noticed i have gotten alot more 3/4 bis gear dropping from aoz than anywhere else.

the drops are not bad. very few yellows, I like that LOL. the loot tables for NM901-100 still has sacred items in the reward window. So NOPE, not anywhere.

Streamers are their friends while you are not. You get no content. GG.

Wow, I don’t think you realize what you just admitted here.

99.9% of the players can’t play endgame.

Is that a good thing, you think?

Well i mean they nerfed AoZ alot so yes everyone can participate.

Yes its a good thing to have harder content with a grind.

aoz isnt end game. its an event that was never intended for anyone to be able to complete, but only do some tiers. end game is t100 nmd and everyone can complete that

So you think they intended to create content that only a small fraction of the people can complete?

You’re just rationalizing poor design and trying to make excuses for the team that failed to create enjoyable end game content for all buyers.

it is exactly as they advertised. it was never intended to be completed by everyone. it is a temporary event. im sorry you cant complete it, but no its not end game content.

Will you quote that please, I can’t find it. Maybe they did say that, and I missed it, in which case this team does not know how to design games, and would probably prompt me to leave.

Where do they say only a couple of classes will be able to finish it, and others can play lower content?

That’s what you’re claiming, right? This is the way it should be, and not all classes are meant to finish it.

Please quote where they say that. And thank you.
