6-12 months 10$ off probably. Or maybe they’ll do a war chest with 3 games for 110$ or something
Make you think you are getting a good deal for d2r d3 and d4 but really d2r d3 have been on sale for 10$ each lol so you are paying more for d4 base

At the earliest, maybe june of next year for 50% or more off. Holiday time period will probably be like $10-15 off or something.
Blizzard will probably pull the same thing they did with World of Warcraft, where if you buy a year’s subscription, you’ll get Diablo 4 (base game) for “free” as long as you keep the subscription in WoW active.
But the only time D4 will be on sale will be during Christmas or during blizzcon (if they have one this year).

It seems like activisions signature move is to pump and dump their games, whilst selling battlepasses and removing/cutting features they promise. Under the guise of value, they will add them back as players lose interest in the game.

It’s still a new game with lots of work that went into it, it was released September 2021.

You are not understanding… it’s the same exact game. So it wouldn’t hold value the same as an original IP. Plus those huge 80% sales were to bring newer people to Diablo as a series in preparation for d4 launch to get people to say well d2/r was fun I’ll try d4
They already made their money back on d2r on its launch

They rebuilt the old game, so it’s a new game. It’s not just a Remaster, they didn’t simply upscale the graphics.
It was 40€ on release and was 50% less 1 year later.

This game already has more features in it than d2 and d3 at launch so I mean can’t really tell until launch what’s missing
Still doesn’t change the fact it’s a 20yr old game remake. Yes the 50% sale after Diablo 4s announcement of coming next year and then 80% once d4 had a release date.

The story remaind the same, over all game designed remained the same. Yes improvements were made, but the bones/soul of the old game are atill there, hence its the same game and not new.

Was happy to pay a little extra to get the game 4 days earlier, I can’t imagine waiting 6-12 months before playing it just to save $35 lol.
Decent games launching is a rare thing these days.

Agreed, activision has completely burnt all the goodwill blizzard has built-up. Unsure how they get it back, the huge sales are good way. But if the game is crap, it looks like epic games giving away free games. They are tossing it in the bin.
Do blizzard even do sales? I doubt they will put Diablo 4 on sale so fast, it will take years for that to happen.
However on secondary stores like Amazon and other, there is a chance.
