Anyone running Tricks of the Trade?

I experimented with Tricks of the Trade last night with my TB rogue and saw a significant increase in damage. Is anyone else running this legendary node?

Good tip, will re-check out.

I think on theory crafting level there are many +20% damage boost options. Edgemasters, Conceited, Expectant. All are easy to trigger for Rogue.

This is why I keep thinking about Condemnation dagger as it has the potential for 40% on the roll which trumps all the other bonuses. (But can’t find one to test!)

Yes, I run Condemnation as well with high IAS, so I’m constantly cycling Puncture > TB > repeat.

I threw on the Legendary last night and saw a big spike in damage. Was curious to see if anyone had a similar experience.

I’ve been running this on Flurry which is reliant on switching because of combo points. It’s not a priority board while levelling but a must have for endgame.

I use it in preseason and S1. It works great with combo points.

Personally I’m not a fan of the ‘next attack’ conditional aspect. While you would see a benefit to a dual core build like Flurry/Rapid Fire it seems more in line with combo point builds. Like some of the other legendary nodes, it should provide a buff for a period of time, like say 6 to 9 secs.
Having said all that, I do plan on taking it as it also has an armor and some other defensive nodes.

Do people run Combo Points with TB?

I definitely run Tricks of the Trade, so if I get a good Condemnation I’ll probably have to drop the Expectant Aspect for it…

I run both up until NM80.

Yes. It is very good. Your puncture can give a 25% multiplier to your next twisting blades. It has significantly more value and uptime than any other legendary node, and adds so much to a build that it is borderline a legendary.

I wouldn’t even say its best use is with combo points. It keeps a preparation build flowing and hitting hard just by weaving a puncture in between each core.

Yes, works perfectly with how I play. Condemnation+Asheara’s, Poison on puncture, combo points, and (the key) alternating back and forth between puncture and TB as fast as my fingers can move.
