hey anyone nows if u would be able to text in world chat on console and how do i group and find groups ?
Yes you can chat on console (at least PS5) but it’s a bit cumbersome. You have to first open the emote wheel, select chat, press a button on your controller, and then the PS5 virtual keyboard pops up. If you have a keyboard connected to your console at this point you should be able to use it to enter a message, and then push square to send.
Eventually they need to just implement mouse and keyboard support directly into the console version of the game so that we can just hit Enter on the keyboard to bring up the chat window and start chatting.

this doesn’t answer your question but just a handy tip I found out later, if you go to the group screen you can turn on voice chat (for people in your group) which makes communication easier after the fact . havent tested it yet but this isn’t a groundbreaking feature so I assume it works
Yes during Server Slam I’ve played with Random and Friends (battle.net accounts), I played on PS5 so the way I chat with the group is via Headset, you can either party with 4 groups or clan members, chatting via typing message was horrendous DONT DO IT 
The chat works cross platform as well, I even had a friend who logged in to his PS App from his cell/mobile device.
That’s 100 % accurate what you wrote and reflects my current awkward experience with in-game chat. I have w/less keyboard hooked up with ps5 but can’t simply hit ‘Enter’ to bring up the chat window, nope gotta do this whole extremely unintuitive dance around simple feature.
