I donât know whatâs causing but after 30 to 60 mins of playing D4, I start to get massive neck pain. Doesnât happen when working on PC or playing other games⌠just D4. Maybe Iâm subconsciously tilting my neck too far forward to see better? Or is quickly scanning the inventory for upgrades repeatedly too much eye strain? I donât know, does anyone else have this issue?
Same, I work all day on my PC/Laptop but can only play the game for a short time and my neck tightens up.
LMFAO.
Science says, if you get that, your sitting in the wrong way.
No matter what activity you do.
So please. go away with your nonsense.
Forward neck position? Thatâs going to give u migraines.
Been sitting this way for years and only 2 games have caused me any discomfort. Diablo 4 neck pain starts about 20-30 minutes in.
Maybe you are getting older?
Yea like I said.
Science says different.
You cannot deny science - Facts.
As are all gamers⌠looking for common issues from others maybe those who are experiencing the same issues can provide solutions. I do think there is something to be said about sitting and neck positions but I can play other games and have 0 pain.
So, tell me using science why I can play different games sitting in the same position and only feel neck pain with this game?
Iâm employed as an environment artist at a studio in Stockholm, which has a background in web design, app design, and UI design. On a typical day, I register around 5000 clicks per day, so when I want to unwind, I turn to gaming. However, I used to experience significant discomfort in my clicking finger, but I found a solution: I started using an Xbox controller for the PC version of Diablo 4. Now, I can comfortably relax in bed, propped up with a pillow, while I slay monsters. Give it a shot
Thatâs on you.
Sitting wrong or w/e.
Like I said in the first post.
Feels weâre in a circle.
Accept science / facts please.
Thanks.
(Funny, now these ppl think they are better then doctors LMFAO)
âAccept scienceâ is not adding value to the discussion. We are experiencing real pain while playing this game. I love the game but canât play for very long. Iâll switch over to other games just to unwind. Do you have any actual scientific data to share? Have you ever felt discomfort at any point during your game play? Is there different settings you utilize for different games? I have a gaming set up thatâs pretty good and feel like this question is directed towards blizzard not someone who going to keep regurgitating âAccept Science â. Feel weird that to me that you think this adds value.
It has been proven, by facts, if you suffer from neck pain, itâs the position.
Not more, not less.
I am a doctor actually. If you have neckpain, its your position. No matter what activity.
So, I urge you to see a doctor. Your the first one to complain about such things since the game has been released.
It has nothing to do with this game, but your sitting/standing position.
And donât talk about âWeâ. Itâs âYouâ and you only.
Me and We donât have these issues.
Maybe it is like sitting in the front row of a movie theatre with this blown up cell phone app on your screen.
Whatâs your posture and desk set up?
For eye strain, you need to position the screen in such a way that you move your eyes as little as possible to view the entire screen. Generally speaking, I keep my screens about a armâs length away.
The neck pain is bad posture. Though if I get my adrenaline pumping I do get pain in my neck and back. Not saying thatâs what youâre going through, but I would suspect bad posture or lack of support.
Itâs too much clicking. Itâs causing you nerve damage.
I was going to make a joke thread about people blaming D4 for everything by insisting there is evidence that D4 is also the cause of illnesses, but reality imitated the fiction 3 days before the fiction.
Yes - the zoom in D:IV is PAINFUL. I cannot play the game for longer than 5-10 minutes because it causes extreme discomfort. The camera zoom (and maybe angle) need serious adjustment and/or options.
I play other blizz games like SC2 or Diablo 3 for extended periods of time and do not experience this pain.
Ok Doc, to reiterate, why are some of us experiencing neck pain during this game only. Not other games. Same set up, not stressed because I have a full squad and we level pretty easily. Just get pain, my thoughts are that the top down view might be part of the problem. Please provide, studies regarding gaming that as a Doctor you must have access to. Then explain what are the optimum set up angles, chair height, desk height, monitor size, distance between, arm position, âŚ. Never mind ⌠like I mentioned in the previous response, this is directed at Blizzard. In any case, I hope your patients are all healthy and happy. Because if not theyâll should expect the best response in history âAccept Scienceâ and move on.
D4 contributed to a rotator cuff injury for me. I recommend playing with a controller. It is much easier and more comfortable to practice good posture with a controller.
