Anyone else see that 11 second stream on the Diablo youtube channel just now? lol

I got a notification and it was just some dude sitting there streaming for 11 seconds in a headset.

Then it disappeared mysteriously.

That was Steve, the IT guy, don’t have to worry about him, he was just testing out the systems.

The better question though is why does the OP follow stream alerts for Blizzard on Youtube?

Really was Steve. If you pause it at 7 seconds you can see it.

I heard you have to play it backwards at exactly midnight to reveal the hidden message.

So I can watch the fireside chats when they start?..

Why is that " the better question ?"

They’re announced constantly, nearly everywhere.

Pretty sure I saw an airplane sky writer announcing the last one. But maybe that was the mushrooms…

I don’t see the need to adhere to the Like/Subscribe/Follow mantra, especially when the channel doesn’t give impromptu broadcasts. Said another way, I’m not a person of such weak mind that I require special alerts to attend an event whose time and place has been previously communicated.

Well good for you.

I’m also not such a rude person that I feel the need to berate someone and then just assume what someone else’s day is like or that they’re just sitting around waiting on the chats to start. Some of us have A LOT going on (at work, during our day, while also sometimes being a caretaker for a dying relative) that we forget things as low-alert as a video game fireside’s time/date.

It’s like you’re just trying to have a go for no reason.

Saw an announcement on an inflatable tube man in detroit!

I don’t think I’ve ever received any alert from Twitch, for any channel. haha

I didn’t berate you. I stated what I am.

If you’ve taken offense, perhaps your own perception of yourself has allowed you to feel insulted. In which case, I apologize for your own poor self esteem.

Oh? So busy in fact, that posting about a 7 second mistake clip in the middle of the day as soon it was broadcast is a priority?

Nah, just a bit of fun. See the part about the mushrooms? I also enjoy calling out BS when I see it. I grew up on a farm, so I’m well-versed in spotting BS! You learn rather quickly after it gets on your shoes once!

For some reason, I just love the wacky wavy inflatable arm man.

What’s funny is there is a better system to alert you of impromptu Streams that pretty much never happen and yet you pretty much have to rely on 3rd Party websites for World Boss spawns.

WB and Helltide spawns work in-game. I found out it’s an issue with a desync’ed Windows clock. Sync up your PC time with the Server Time with appropriate Time Zone it works. I haven’t had an issue with it since S1 ended.

I have no input on other platforms such as Console, Mac, or Linux/Other OS.

Yes in game when a spawn is close, but not in game when a spawn is not close. If a WB was just spawned, it does not show you time until the next WB. Additionally, you cannot set any sort of alerts with an App outside the game to alert you of in-game events.

Blizzard absolutely should have an App for their game that has the best Character Planner tool that you can import and export builds into. You should be able to browse your Stash outside of the game and have a Full Character Sheet you can share and see other profiles (if Friends or if allowed). This App should also send Push notifications you create in game for certain things or even set timers for playing. It would log your hours in game and all relavant statistics. The App would have Guides and links to Affiliate Partner content so the Streamers can keep their platforms and cross post. Forums would be built into the App.

Eventually, you could tie it to a Matchmaking and Group Finder tool with the App being an Overlay onto the game itself also. Sort of like Steam, this would let you hop into a game with your friends and join a Party and launch the game, message them and send Clan Chat. Ultimately, the App could be used to facilitate Trading outside of the game with the same interface accessible in game.

There are some massive missed opportunities for what should be the pre-dominate AAA ARPG on the market.

^ it would be nice to have. maybe after they are done dorking around with gear… season after season after season… heh

“Buy more cosmetics”

I heard “drink more Ovaltine”, but my hearing has lost a bit in my age.

It was my Christmas Wish.

I could even write A Christmas Story about it… perhaps someday!
