Been cranking out the hours since launch and am comfortably killing t3 tormented bosses, but still lacking the ga boosted aspects I need. I’m starting to feel like the legendary item hunt is actually more punishing than hunting for uniques ( it is - we can at least target farm uniques).
I spend anywhere up to 4 to 6 hours (sometimes more) almost every day doing the GA legendary hunt, and get anywhere from zero to one item that’s even worth considering to use and zero that upgrade my aspects.
I’m all for the item hunt, but this new loot system feels like it’s designed to waste a person’s time instead of giving small incremental rewards for the amount of time put in. I’d like for there to at least be hope that when I see a large cache of legendaries drop, that there is likely to be one that is 1GA. I’m not even asking for 2 or 3GA at T3. I’d like to feel like my jump to new torment tiers is rewarded with chances for better loot. Not the same loot I’ve seen since T1.
So I’m wondering, is anyone else getting the feeling that the loot hunt is more punishing than rewarding? I’m getting pretty discouraged after spending hours and hours grinding for loot and not even sniffing a possibility of a reward. I also don’t understand why if you enchant a GA affix, it resets to normal.

i like that stuff is more rare and loot isnt raining from the sky like previous seasons, but i agree they turned the dial a little too far in the other direction. hopefully after feedback they will fine tune it to a better state. ancestrals are far too rare imo. and when the highest range of aspects only roll on ancestrals it really screws things up

Yes, I think that’s the proper term, they turned the dial too far.
Last season I made it about 7 weeks before hitting the wall where incremental gains were getting too few and far between to give a rewarding experience. This season… what… 10 days?
I’m not asking for GA legendary loot to rain from the sky (last seasons amounts actually got mind numbing), just not have it be less common than GA uniques.

GA aspects are rarer than mythic unique.

No. The simple answer is in your post. You’re doing torment 3. There are plenty of legendaries and GA gear dropping and dropping reliably. Torment 4 is where you should be hunting for these things.

Loot hunt? Currency hunt is how I see it.
And if you can’t do IH and tormented bosses in T4 because you are aspect gated to T3 since I don’t play sb? What then? I should be able to reliably find 1GA items at T3 for the time invested. I’m not even asking for 2 or 3GA items, just 1GA so I can finish my codex at least.

Personally I had mostly at least 1 GA items before I hit t4. They drop in helltide(especially maiden), they drop from the greater chests in infernal hordes. They drop from all the bosses even in t3 just not as often. You can target farm them by using the curiousities vendor or running the undercity with tributes. There are honestly so many options I don’t really know how you’re having trouble.
