Anyone else kind of want to go back to Diablo 3?

Ancestral gear, which not only have a higher item level, but ancestral aspects can also be stronger, depending on which number is tweaked by the aspect rarity. Still, only on WT4 everything the game has to offer is available.

Exactly this. This team doesn’t know how to tone things right. Everything in POE2 is exactly what I hope for in a true D2 successor. Very pumped. As for this game, I just don’t understand what all the development time went to… because there’s a whole lot left to be desired.

“Better gear” is not content. Once you are in WT3, it is clear to see the content loop. Nothing magically changes once Ancestrals start dropping.

That doesnt matter. If WT3 can count as endgame then it should be viable for people to stay on WT3 to perfectly max out their character. Not only is this not possible, its also not going to happen. So WT3 is not endgame.

Endgame is not “level 100” you silly goose. There is no difference in play loop between 50 and 100. The only thing that changes is how many times you have gone around the circle.

That doesn’t mean that someone who has done the loop enough to hit 70 doesn’t understand the loop.

Get over yourself.

Not really unfortunately. I put over 4k hours into Diablo 3. What I really want is for Blizzard to improve this game and stop micro managing our play experience and let us have fun, stop nerfing everything into the ground, that’s not a fun way to experience the game to be constantly set back and worry about what’s next.

Nope. Loving D4 so far. To each their own!

Back to D2R / PD2 it is.

There is no difference in the play loop between 1-100 either, you are still just killing enemies. It really doesnt matter that the environment or the scale of enemies changes. You are doing the same exact thing everytime.

Not even a lil bit. It’d be back to Last Epoch for me anyway, if I was done with D4, which I’m not even close! Happily leveling up my druid (76) and finishing off the glyphs to level 21, huge power spikes btw! I’m not going too crazy with the grinding because I’m mostly interested in starting the seasonal play, but I will undoubtedly get my druid to 100 before S1 and tinker around on my other characters that are in the 30-70 range a bit, too.

No thank you been there and done that to many seasons.

Okay bye, have fun won’t miss you! By the way can I have your gold?

you wake and bake today?

Haven’t played D3 in years and am never going back. If anything I would play D2R. This game has too many D3 similarities as it stands.

yeah d2r seems like a masterpiece now, but im actually back to super mario world

The endgame activities are Sigils, Helltides, World Bosses, Tree of Whispers, and Legion Invasions.

You know, all that stuff that unlocks in WT3. The only thing WT4 offers is more numbers on your equipment. There is no content difference between WT3 and WT4 silly goose.

There is a huge content difference between WT2 and WT3 though.

Hell no. Diablo 3 bores me to death. Combat is simple Arcady 1 button spam with no real itemization. Build diversity is just what set you use and the game is just as repetitive as any complaint about d4. Hell the space bar dash and actual boss mechanics makes D4 more interesting than D3.

Build diversity on Diablo 4 isn’t any better. You spam one basic skill to gain resources then just spam the second skill a few times to dump it. Rinse and repeat, over and over.

If you’re a barb like me you get to throw in a shout or two every now and then lol.

I would love to see some numbers of active users in D2 or D3 right now and see if there was an actual spike in player count!

With that said, I played d3 to paragon 1200 several months before this and enjoyed my time there - though the thought of running another god damn rift, fighting monsters that are so tanky and bosses that literally take 1000 melee hits to start seeing noticeable chunks of their hp - I dread that - by the end of it, I was so god damn bored and over it.

lol, me and my friends actually did that yesterday. D4 seems to forgot the single most important thing and that is that games are supposed to be fun.
