The game is smooth for like 30-60 minutes but then it starts lagging to the point I need to quit the game and start over.
This fix it for a while but then the lags starts again… 32gb ram, 3070 gpu… Have no idea what could be wrong
Elon Musk is having performance issues. 
Each major zone you enter, like Dry Steppes, Fractured Peaks etc, you’ll use more and more video RAM. Consider dropping textures down one if you’re running high textures on the 3070. Probably not enough video RAM
Example - when I start the game I use 12GB video RAM. After entering the 5 major zones I’m at 22GB video RAM on ultra textures.
What’s likely happening is part of what should be going to video RAM is being offloaded to system RAM after entering most of the major zones
If you want to see if this is the issue, enter each of the 5 major zones and see if you experience frame rate drops.
Or heat issues if you haven’t checked your temps.
The “30-60 minutes” could mean a number of things but likely it’s one of those two. We don’t know what settings you’re on or your temps though. It could also be the video RAM is heating up once fully allocated to the game
Circle back after you check and post your temps and we can go from there.

when i used to game on pc, this tends to happen with heat issues. i know nothing about gaming rigs & strictly sticking to laptops these days with no issues for yrs now.
I find it happens more when I play in kehjistan
honestly the season one release has been very smooth for me, the actual game release was worsse for me
After that tweet about stash tabs affecting performance, I’m amazed the game runs at all…
