Anyone else have driver crashes on ultra settings?

I’m playing 1440p with a RX 5700 XT. On ultra, I get 80+ fps, but never drop below 60(only get this low when opening shop screens for some reason). If I play on ultra settings, I get a “run out of memory” error and then a error from AMD saying a driver issue has occurred, forcing me to restart my PC. I don’t know if the memory it’s referring to is GPU memory or RAM. I have 32gigs of 3200mhz ram, so I doubt it’s ram, and aren’t we supposed to use all available GPU memory?

Anyone else have this issue? Is my only option just not to play on ultra? Thanks, and have a good one.

System specs -
i7 8700k
32gb 3200mhz DDR4 ram
RX 5700xt
1440p 165hz freesync monitor

I’d suspect 8GB VRAM isn’t enough on the highest texture settings

Had issues with Ultra myself. Eased back to High and the problem went away. I have trouble seeing a difference graphically between the two settings.

Even though I get 80+ fps? That kind of sucks lol.

I have 12GB of VRAM on my 6750 xt. So I sort of doubt that this is your issue.

I’m assuming it’s not the issue, but I’m no expert lol. I was hoping someone might have found a fix in AMD software or something, but I don’t think they have. I’ve looked everywhere for a fix before I asked here. Thanks for the reply.
