Any Reason To Keep/Play Eternal Realm Characters?

TLDR: I have my original level 80 Sorc on Eternal Realm that completed campaign. Got tired of no loot upgrades in WT4. Haven’t touched it since Season 1 launch. Since everything moving forward seem so Seasonal focus, should I just delete that original character? Also had a mule of a bazillion aspects but can’t use those in Seasons so delete as well?

personally i consider my eternal chars like some “hall of fame chars” as diablo has been a seasonal game for me always.

in d3 it could happen i skipped a season, and played eternal incase i didnt like a seasonal topic.

So if you enjoy seasons, yea, you can ignore your eternal chars =)

If I delete all my eternal realm characters, will that mess up my renown/waypoints/etc for any current or future Season characters?

nope, if you unlocked the renown on eternal, and logged into that char recently, it will be unlocked on the mode you play (Hardcore/softcore) for both, eternal and seasonal

That’s what I mean, is renown progress tied to account or eternal characters?

Its a good place to hide from the stalkers

Its tied to your account.

Only reason would be to hit 100. I tried it with my druid and rogue, didn’t last long without the seasonal flavor of vamp powers and Blood Harvests.

I agree. Sometimes I just want to “hang on” to that character. At least for awhile :grinning:

Seasonal is ultra-easy mode. Play eternal if you want to play in easy mode.

Still doesn’t answer: Is renown progress tied to account or eternal character? Meaning, if I delete ALL my characters and only create a fresh Season, will I still have all my renown/map progress?

Account, you can delete every single toon you have and still have all your renown completed up to whatever character had the highest amount done.
