Any reason for the Tal Rasha ring nerf?

I was looking through the patch notes and noticed that they nerfed the max damage multiplier roll by 5% for each element. I’ve always disliked the keyboard piano playstyle this ring requires and I am generally not a fan of mandatory uniques but the huge multiplicative damage boost it provides was worth the hassle. Why did we eat a 15% nerf on it for no particular reason?

I understand that sorcs will do well on Seasonal because of the busted new chaos powers but they can’t be nerfing base game stuff to offset seasonal damage peaks. Not only is it a huge middle finger to Eternal players but it will also hurt everyone down the road when they forget why they nerfed it and never bring it back to what it was ever again.

Just another in a long line of incompetent development decisions…

Most Sorc builds are unplayable on the Eternal Realm. Blizzard Ice Spike, Hydra, and Meteor are still okay. Ball Lightning or Fireball feel like a bad joke.
I’m glad I didn’t spend any money on cosmetics or the season pass this time, and I’m taking an extended break from this mess.

They’ve been buffing us for a while now, such that I don’t think we need it as much anymore. Personally, that makes me very happy. I have grown to loathe the playstyle that ring forces you into.

I just saw they’re releasing a Tassadar skin for sorcs, gonna try a CL build and replace Tal Rasha’s with the new Shock unique ring, lol. No idea how I am gonna put together an Eternal CL build though since no one is making build guides for Eternal.
