Any plans to make the witch powers permenant?

I am referring to keeping the powers post season or integrating them into the base game later on. I personally enjoy them and wish they would be added. Since we can’t create a dual class like other games, this does provide us with a way to give our characters some more flavor. Perhaps they could draw from some other forgotten classes of the past too (looks at the Amazon)?

As time goes on with newer seasons, newer powers with different themes could be added and refined. Players could then choose which power sets they want to specialize in. For example, they could choose witch or vampire powers. Maybe add angelic powers at some point?

I am sure we will see more power sets in the future, but I hope we don’t have to wait another 5 seasons again to see them:(

We can only hope

Blizzard needs to start keeping their Seasonal content, thats how other games that are praised for having “a lot of content” got their content

Maybe tune it a bit so that power creep doesnt get out of control, but keeping the content is a good idea

It would have to be massively nerfed, especially if you started stacking with other seasonal powers. Now if they made them mutually exclusive that you couldn’t combine them somehow.

We’ll probably see some of the less powerful ones in the form of aspects, but don’t expect the game to keep the powers in a separate tab. What’s worse is that the damaging spells, in their aspects forms, will probably be nearly useless due to the lack of proper multipliers.

Then there’s the gems, which were in S1 and were never added to the base game. That’s a shame because some gems would actually be nice to have instead of the plain old gems we have (e.g. the 50% faster DoT tick one, some of the + stats ones, etc.).

Actually there was malignant hearts that became a part of the base game as uniques. Necros auto summon ring is one example. And some of those vamp powers became aspects such as the bats evade. An ability I always use because it allows you to evade thru walls

Yes, indeed. I totally forgot to mention uniques, but that’s what I implied with Aspects too. This, we will probably see.

A lot of the S1/S2 gems and powers came back as Aspects or Uniques, but as an aspect, it does take up a slot with nearly no possibility of meaninful upgrade/scaling, so unless it’s a defensive ability, it’s usually not great… not since the game forces you in using a skill and stack as many multipliers for said skill as you can.

Some of it will eventually be added to the game under a different form. Season one hearts became unique items. Season two blood powers became legendary aspects. Season 3 pet became mercenaries in the expansion.

Suspect we might see the legendary gem system incorporated somehow. Either as new gems or as runes.

Enjoy your borrowed power they spent months on and then throw it away! Can’t wait for Season 8!!

You might be on to something. The runes would make a lot of sense.

Adding more aspects and uniques is a problem when we keep the same amount of item slots.

I propose Kanai’s cube.

The sacrilegious ring is a great tool too, im glad they kept it around

I just wish they would keep the power table system we currently see in season 7. Aspects become gated quickly with uniques and our class specific aspects.

It funnels us down to investing solely into our class instead of allowing us to fan out with some different class flavor. I just don’t get as excited with aspects for some reason. Maybe it’s just me.

It won’t happen. It’s a season thing, and it will come back when they want.
But permanetly, for sure no.

No season “goodies” have ever been carried out from the season itself, so this one will not be a exception…

Can easily see a few of the unique powers or summons getting the rune treatment. Fire bats, poison frog, and the fireball that circles you would be easy runes. Maybe even some of the hexes and auras.

There is already a lot of witchcraft in the Hawezar storylines. So making the Witch a player character makes sense.

The eldritch, psyche, grow & decay powers feel like an already fleshed out concept.

There is no Witch Doctor coming as of now.
