Blurred Beast deals added damage based on a percent of the total applied poison on the enemy, and is spammable. So I assume you will also need to build for additional poison damage skills and poison paragon nodes to get the most out of it. I haven’t tried it myself though.
Any chance I could modify a Crone staff build to also use Blurred Beast, or would they be too conflicting to bother?
Blurred Beast heavily relies on the 100% 2H aspect bonus to work, so Crone staff would probably not work well. You could try using the 50% amulet slot for Blurred Beast instead, but that’s where I put my Stormclaw aspect.
Thanks. My amulet has my basic attack speed, but low roll. So maybe I’ll try blurred beast on it for a bit to try out something different then put my higher attack speed aspect on it later. Lol
the one I used was 180% damage for the 2h weapon.
Thank you for the explanation
Which four? Afaik it only requires tempest roar and crone staff.
I add in Mad Wolf’s Glee, though it isn’t exactly “necessary”. I use it for the +2 to Werewolf skills.
And Melted Heart of Selig, though you only have a .000001% chance of actually getting it. Lol. It would basically make you immortal.
But the buld is still good without it. Did my first 54 last night at level 84 and got spiders. Thanks to having 100% lucky hit chance and all the self-healing I managed to survive with only two deaths due to exploding spider host bosses that were lagging out and exploded with full health. I managed to out heal their poison/burn damage.
The only issue I have with the build is that it kills my poor finger and wrist with a +100% attack speed.
Rare enough that I dont think a single person has seen one yet so… Gl
There’s no way you have 100% lucky hit chance. Its unpossible.
50% from Claw, 27% from gear, 30% from potion equals 100% lucky hit chance.
Now, the abilities proccing within that Lucky Hit are between 5%-20% chance.
But it elimiates the double “chance” aspect of Lucky Hit.
And actually with Crone, because it casts Storm Strike as well (based 34% LH), I get a second chance for Lucky Hit at 90%.
Lucky hit chance is multiplicative, not additive. The math is actually .5 * 1.27 * 1.3 = 82.55% lucky hit chance. SS is .34 * 1.27 * 1.3 = 56.134% lucky hit chance.
Didn’t someone prove that crone still is only one ability cast? Maybe I’m wrong
When I using Trampleslide, it really felt like Nature’s Fury was proccing a LOT more than normal.
Ah. I saw it added on the gear and figured it was all additive.
Blizzard really likes to make things a confusing mess. But at least you don’t need a Master’s in calculus like POE.
Could be due to Nature’s Fury buff from 20% to 30%. Plus that’s not tied to Lucky Hit, just a standard proc chance.
Blurred beast only applies 1 tick of poison damage, so 180% / 6 seconds / 2 ticks per seconds = 15%
I’m going to echo the “prove your damage or it’s not true” sentiment.
It was doing it at 20%. Basically, when you use Claw with the Greatstaff of the Crone and it casts Stormstrike as well, both Claw and Stormstrike seem to have a chance to proc it. It’s been mentioned in a few Trampleslide videos.

Here’s a single dash that one-shot an event boss.

Here’s another that hit for over 9 million.
These are immediately after casting Poison Creeper to apply the poison, and then using Shred to dash. I wasn’t seeing numbers anywhere close to this until I started using Blurred Beast.
