Cat Quest is a better ARPG than DIV in every single way :smirk_cat:. Have a look at Steam “OtterQuest” too. Make sure to bring a highend gaming system to fully enjoy it. :otter:

It’s not in the Arpg genre but I highly recommend Khazan the first berserker. One of the best souls-like games out there due to the amazing boss design and the fluid and fast paced combat.

There are also a few ways to customise difficulty if you don’t want to bang your head against the boss brick wall.

Found a nice game, Sons Of The Forest, currently at sale with Steam, it’s a survival game in a forest, but you can build a base as well, nice graphics and very light to download (less than 30 GB). It miss something though, I don’t know exactly, but feel a bit cheap in game. I think the sound is not correct in that game.

I hope the OP doesn’t mind, but I’d like to take advantage of this thread to ask for some advice.
I’ve decided to try PoE, but I’m not sure if I want to go straight for the early access or if I should take a look at the first one.
Thank you!

PoE1 feels nothing like D1/D2 and the combat is bad compared to D3/D4. PoE2 feels cheap and has worse multiplayer architecture than Blizzard’s games.

Both games are overhyped just like LE. I would wait until PoE2 is free to play.

What do you hope to get out of looking at the first one?

I am not a hardcore POE1 fan, I only played it for a month and half before Diablo 4 launched.

It is not a bad game the systems are good, but the passive tree is more complicated than POE2 and the game’s story is very forgettable.
And at times it is way too easy. Screen Clearing strobe light simulator. But End Game is supposedly harder. I made it to Chapter 6. I enjoyed what I played, but outside of some bosses the game felt quite easy. I picked Ranger not knowing one class fron the next, and that might be why.

In short you will enjoy POE1 if you try it, overall. The graphics are dated, today.

But if you don’t mind spending the $30, I would just get POE2. You will get $30 worth of funny money to spend on tabs or cosmetics…I would say tabs…but everyone is different.

Oh, gosh. I didn’t expect that :joy:

Nothing special, really. I was just wondering if it’s worth spending 30 euros for early access. If you tell me it’s a good experience, I’m all for it, because otherwise, I wouldn’t have considered it as an option.

In the end, I just want to kill some time before season 8. Or maybe even after, if I don’t enjoy it or burn through the content too quickly

I just can’t get over how bad the character movement looks and feels in PoE2, I instantly wanted a refund. I’ll give it another try when it’s released.

Is it that bad?
You’re kinda scaring me ahah

I’m used to silky smooth Quake 3 gameplay so it matters to me. I can’t enjoy a game if the very basic stuff isn’t working properly. There’s definitely something off with the movement, but most players won’t notice anything.
