The Pit drops the following masterworking material depending on level:
- Obducite (Levels 1-29)
- Ingolith (Levels 30-59)
- Neathiron (Levels 60-200)
But unless I’m mistaken, you get almost the same amount of Obducite at level 1 as you do at level 29. I’m still on the low levels if Ingolith, so I don’t know for sure, but I’m guessing you get the same amount of Neathiron at level 60 as at level 80.
So what’s the benefit to doing higher tier pits within the same material tier? Am I mistaken on the above, or is there some other benefit?
Oh i can list few perks for you to do higher pits …
You get 1 shotted ,
Again ,
Again ,
Again , and again ,
And again …
The higher you go the more fun it is …
You better start to get comfortable being 1 shotted.

It scales better after 61. The yellow and blues do to a lesser extent. I do speed 70-75 mostly now with rogue. The boss fights last 2 staggers, tops. Anything pre 70 is 1 stagger/dead bossman. 3-4 minute runs tops. Usually closer to 3. Then convert mats down.

You do get a few more mats doing the higher levels…may not be worth it for the chance to die though.
