What you can see in his post, is the result of a woke “every one should get a medal” mentality. Godforbid you would ask anyone to do a better job. No. Just accept their trash work, and praise them for doing it.

The “everyone gets a medal” criticisms way predate this politically charged usage of “woke” and also has absolutely nothing to do with racial/social issues that “woken” “woke” is traditionally assigned to.
Sure though, just attach the word to everything you dislike. “That pitch was a woke pitch, way outside the strike zone” =p

Woke is a think tank phrase designed to poison the well, like “conspiracy theorist”. comes from the same CIA, too.

There is no real reaction to the OP because we’ve already discussed this on the forums quite a bit when interviews and statements originally came out from some developers how the expectations on BG3 “raising the bar” is unfair… Of course it is a dumb take.
There are many great games that are well designed, executed, coded, and thought out. Best game I’ve played in a long time was Ghost of Tsushima and I don’t think you’d see those devs saying “the bar is too high”

There’s a lot of legitimate points about the long list of game developers that responded to BG3 and why they think it was an outlier. Some other devs came out against a lot of what was being said in fact.
Unfortunately instead of making literally any of them, you just posted some weird cultish nonsense where you get angry at “wokeness” or liberals in general and blame everything wrong in the world on them because your cult has successfully convinced you they are the devil and source of all problems in the world.
Interestingly, whenever a group successfully convinces large numbers of people that X is responsible for all the worlds problems, that inevitably leads to irrational violence against those people. Honestly starting to think anyone that throws out “woke” on a regular basis is a threat to normal humans and should be on a watch list.
