Answer to the SB problem

You are gatekeeped from achieving desired masterworked gears simply because your non SB class takes a lot longer to farm for basically anything.

Leveling up glyphs could take forever and until you can reasonably do 100 maxing out glyphs will be a pain.

You would have harder time buying/selling stuff on the market because there might be no supply/demand, or the supply could be too dried the asking price would be absurd. Same goes for the max aspect which for some classes like Druid is nigh impossible to get as of now.

You will be stripped of the fun of doing open-world content because you won’t have anything to kill most of the time.

The people who keep parroting that SB is fine and doesn’t affect anyone are unbelievably ignorant it is pathetic

Considering the vast majority will have long since moved on from this Season waaaay before the season ends you have all the time you could want to reach whatever milestone you want on as many characters as you want.

Leveling Glyphs on 100 is fine, by then the glyphs your using are all 80+. So what, you have to run a dozen extra runs? It’s not like you have anything better to do anyway.

Would you even trust trade anymore? Rampent duping and RMT, you are likely right the only people left will be scammers.

What fun open world content? Helltide and Realmwalker? You don’t need to be T4 maxed character to run that content to begin with. It’s the same content at T1 as it is at T4.

I’m saying SB is not the issue, the class was designed well but the game around it is terrible. Fix the game, bring the other classes up to feel better to play.

Time gating is the problem, and I’m not sure why I need to repeat this. Sure, if you play for 200 hours, things will get easier. But for the average SB player, it takes only 40 hours to trivialize everything, which affects everyone as explained in my previous post.

People are leaving because there’s nothing else to do.

Other classes are complaining about the mats issue, while SB players jump in saying, “Everything is fine.”

I’ve experienced both spectrums this season. I started with a Druid, worked my way to PL230, and struggled with nearly every aspect of the game. Then, I rolled an SB and trivialized everything in 35 hours. The brainless gameplay loop of SB, the nonsensical theorycrafting where you focus on finding the next big bugs instead of reading tooltips and working out logical interactions—it’s all an embarrassing mess. SB is easily Diablo 4’s lowest point.

So your saying the key to D4 is playing the class that gets it finished the fastest so they can stop playing?

That is your definition of success here?

People are leaving because there is no end game. There are a series of mid-game progression building activities that lead to a dead end. It doesn’t matter how fast you get to nowhere, it’s still nowhere.

So by that metric SB was a huge success, it helped me see that in 40 hours where I might have spent 200 instead.

And which part of my post makes you think that?

For a class that could hit for trillions simply by increasing its HP there is no end game even if it is something as absurd as pit 150.

Why are you saying SB is not a problem again?

Is there anything about SB that is not problematic?

Yes hit for trillions when you can auto pilot clear all T4 content so long as you are doing millions.

The only content that cares you can do quintillion damage is an artificially inflated ladder that has no relevance beyond P100 since it provides no further benefit outside of experience.

P101-150 is for nothing more than boredom and flexing. If your build can do it great, but they overtuned it to the point that it makes SB look balanced, so maybe this is a design flaw more than a class problem.

SB aren’t the problem because the ceiling for T4 is well below the floor of any other class. Everything beyond that is just overkill. If your running P100 you are 1-shotting all other content in the game, there is nothing more for your power to do. It’s just for bragging rights after that.

Ah yes, let’s throw out everything that’s mildly challenging and say SB is fineeee.

I have presented to you a long list of problems that SB is causing and you offer to ignore half of the game’s content and pretend everything is ok.

It does make sense because I did say it takes ignorance to think SB is fine and doesn’t affect anyone.

So what are we balancing against? What is our standard here?

Every class has builds that can farm all T4 content with ease and run P100s. Every class has at least 1 build.

Beyond that, there is 1 “end game” activity that rewards you nothing and is progressively over tuned.

Finally if you are playing another class, how is your challenge changed by the existence of SBs? You can run all content solo or choose not to invite one to a group, them existing in no way impacts what you are doing.

You have presented me a claim that “SB OP game bad” but the reality is the game is just bad, the SBs around you aren’t making it any better or worse.

All of your questions have been answered in my very first response I am not sure why are you still asking?

And don’t get me wrong, the game is trash as of now, and SB is the biggest culprit.

That class is the prime example of everything that is wrong with D4. Again, all the reasons have been stated.

I am not trying to convince you, I am just pointing out how ignorant it is to think this class is fine. You may choose to never agree with me it’s fine.

In truth I think we both agree the game is just in a bad state for a lot of different reasons.

It’s absolutely not ok that the classes are like they are, the content is puddle deep, there is rampant duping/rmt and honestly nothing about the game today makes me want to play it again as a seasonal game. I came back for the expansion as I hadn’t played since S3 and overall, it was what it was but nothing about it makes me want to do it again.

So i’ll come back in a year to give them another $100 for 3 hours of content and a new Paladin class that everyone will scream it’s OP and breaking the game.

With the toxicity of sb players booting non sb from groups, it would be funny af if sb players started coming here posting how they got booted from group for playing sb. I mean I blame the toxic on Blizzard but that would still be funny af.

I’d say classes only having 1 build is a huge problem.

Any class toxicity is all Blizzard’s fault. Making classes millions of times stronger is on them.

For sure. I said in my post I blame blizzard. Still I’d find it hilarious. Like how ironic and karma would that be. Come on it’s funny.

There for sure are going to be anti SB players in the future. Boot on sight.

Bull :poop:
Helltides, World Bosses, legion events, events. All ruined by broken classes.

See you might think. How does this affect me? I get my loot, i get the xp. I can wait there and collect everything.

Here is Big news for ya. I actualy like slaying demons. Ya, who would had thought that. I do not only play Diablo to get bling bling, i actualy like to kill demons. But that is impossible as soon as “ANY” broken class comes and obliterates the screen in seconds.

I am not playing meta build, i do not follow guides, and ya i wouldn’t care for other people doing it. But i have to tolerate them everywhere and thiis fkn suxs. I hate it. It’s boring.

This is it…right here

lol the argument of every other class should be ok with it and just be reduced to trash collectors has been hilarious. Like those guys doing community service picking up pieces of trash with tongs.

Good game Blizzard. Jesus Christ.

Hi Red,
You see, SB do make the game worse FOR ME AND MANY OTHERS. Maybe not you…maybe not the next to read this…but many.
The second i join a group…through party finder (i can see classses in the grp, i know but tons of flaws with this) or through /trade channel and see a SB, i know whatever we do, i won’t be having fun (unless a carry/i asked for it).

Actually, it does. When enough players RMT, the market prices overextend player input time, so non RMT players cannot upgrade as readily via trading. Additionally, when theres a Activision meta rift between one class and the rest, theres not nearly as much selection for other class players in said market, just overpriced uniques.

Edit: words. This also says nothing about balancing the game around flavor of the month classes with rmt gear vs making a balanced game.
