Answer to the SB problem

I solved the SB imbalance problem…for me at least

I simply form groups with out them…I feel bad discriminating but the game just isn’t fun with them in group.

There’s a spirit born problem? this is news to me. Sounds like someone didn’t purchase VOH and is onry.

Exactly.

There is no SB problem, because what other players in D4 are doing in almost no way impact you.

This is a mostly single player experience. Balance is meaningless in a game where there is no content to gatekeep or deny a player from experiencing based on balance.

There could be a player standing beside you in game who went full RMT, bought all the gear, duped from others what they couldn’t find, duped billions of gold and are playing the absolute most meta build possile.

It changes nothing that this person exists when it comes to your day to day experience.

He literally stated in his post how the SB effects him. Read.

By forming a group with others that are not SB…?

Ignoring they exist is the same thing as them not really impacting your experience by existing.

Spiritboring impact public events and forming groups. Other areas aren’t impacted.

Unless you’re a streamer. Playing anything other than a Spiritboring on stream leads to viewership drops.

there’s like 3-4 diablo streamers who actually get viewers over 3k. It’s not the Mobalytics team that’s for sure  and they’re all playing spirit born. They have zero viewers even with their duped gear they purchased for rmt on diablo trade.

PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF. There is no SB problem.

I mean, SB is broken and we all know that.

The REAL problem Blizzo doesn’t want to aknowledge is that in this season EVERY other class DOES NOT WORK. Forget about SB. Why can’t all the other classes do anything significant?

That’s the question. The answer means you to understand that Blizzo is no more the fun developer it was. It is a big company now, they care not about the single’s needs.

The OP started a thread and stated how something effected him. Then you came in and said No it doesn’t effect you!

Why then, did he create the thread? Why do other players make the same statements? Are these people all crazy. Better respond to all of them and tell them they’re all crazy!

If you have to pretend something isn’t there clearly it effects you and the game as a whole.

The OP is wrong in his first statement. The problem is still NOT SB, the problem lies in the fact that Blizzo made all other classes UNCAPABLE OF ANYTHING.

Because everyone is caught up in this mentality that the game would be fine if only the classes were equally balanced, which is great for Blizzard to shift the blame away from addressing the actual problems the game has.

I never shot down what they said, they’re right if you want to not play with SB then the best thing to do is simply not play with SB, it’s not like we have content that requires you to min/max a party with specific class strengths.

All I said was they were wrong that SB is a problem in general, because it simply is not. It’s pure ego and player fomo that “My class can’t do what your class can do” where there is no actual content in the game that matters.

Every class can make a build that can farm T4 on auto pilot. The only content, which is artificially inflated and pointless beyond Lv 100, is the Pit. If your build can or cannot do P150 changes nothing but is the only content where the balance disparity makes any difference at all.

There are a lot of non-SB builds pucblished for this season that are little more than the most basic tweaks from Season 5. Some of them are comical. For example, Maxroll Barage Rogue build calls it “Death Trap Rogue” in the game play text. Meanwhile, if you go look at the Death Trap Rogue build you start to realize just how much has been copied/pasted into other builds.

People start threads on whatever topic for a reason. The topic is effecting them. To come into their thread and say “No, it is not effecting you.” These people must all be crazy. So many looney tunes running around we need to start an insane asylum for them all.

Commence mass gaslighting

Fair, your not wrong with that.

Again, I didn’t say it wasn’t effecting them, only that balance isn’t the issue here. How strong a SB is compared to whatever class you opted to try this season instead does not in any way change your ability to play the class you picked, nor stop you from doing all the (limited) content the game has to offer

Which also means the solution provided of simply just don’t play with SBs is correct. You can choose to never engage with anyone or you can choose to make your own parties (excluding SB or not). In the end the content between all 3 selections is identical, it’s just how fast and how much extra drops.

“Oh these SB are ruining my Helltides” would just be replaced with “Oh these [Class] are ruining my Helltides” if SB didn’t exist. People just dislike being bored while Flashy McMapclear nukes everything from here to Narnia.

And yes, padded rooms for everyone

Then doesnt matter if SB falls down 50+ in pit level power from other classes next season, cause balance doesnt matter. Of course balance matters to a degree , everyone wants the class they like to be competitive in terms of farming content and people play with their irl friends who play other classes. SB is the most embarrassing state of balance this game has ever had, whereas the other classes are somewhat close.

Other classes past seasons are tiny fractions compared to SB. This is not the same thing as past expansion OP classes at all.

If there is never a stat squish again, the other 5 classes will need 10 expansions to catch up to current SB power. I am making this number up but I believe it is a good estimate. I could also be completely wrong and its like 100 or 1000 expansions.

Now if someone said to you we are going to implement this class into a game that is 10 expansions ahead in power, do not worry, it will not effect the other classes.

Would you agree with this person or would you ask “Are you sure that’s a good idea?”

As it stands today, is there a class that doesn’t have at least a single build that cannot do P100?

I respect SBs have it easy getting there, but putting aside the effort it takes to get there (which is literally just gear and paragon levels) if every class can do P100 then every class can beat the entire game on T4 on auto pilot.

P150 is literally just a badly designed activity to provide some makeshift pretend end game that is totally unbalanced to begin with, not even considering the class. It also does not provide anything for you beyond P100, you can max all your glyphs at P100.

So yes some SB build overkills by a quintrillion damage. You’re still 1 shotting everything you are doing on T4 for a few hundred million damage anyway.

Yes this is exactly what I have been saying overall. SB for whatever people think of it, did feel fun to level, it felt good to gear and overall it felt like the class was designed by at least some competent people. Sure the game it was designed for nobody really knows how it works so the class is tripple dipping in like 3 different ways, but that’s just launch class issues.

The other classes need to be reworked to feel as good as SB does, to have the class itself feel like someone on the team knows what they are doing.

Damage numbers are w/e you know they’ll adjust them end of season, they’ve been rebalancing the game every other day since eternal first launched lol.

OP is OP it doesn’t matter by how much.

It’s like thinking you’re just a little bit pregnant.

You can argue the level of it but really when it comes down to it then it’s pretty much the same. And just a season or so an ago the World boss was dropping in one to two hits. So I think you are mistaken. But it depends if you were a bash barb or the Necro of the wrong build.

So the OP wants to boot SB from groups, good for him because he/she not the star of the show. Okay I get but it’s still stupid.
