Another Question About Eternal Gear

I know this might rile some people up even more but I don’t see where this was explained and I don’t think anyone even asked or brought it up that I have seen…

I’m now actually wondering how they are going to handle tempers. Only ancestral gear gets two tempers. You cant get ancestral gear until you’re 60 and in torment 1 and its supposed to be rare. Sooooo are they going to remove a temper from everyone’s gear? If so, how are they choosing which temper to remove? Maybe they might even remove both and make everyone retemper their gear causing another chance to brick that gear.

Same question about masterworking. Even ilvl 750 items can only be masterworked 4 times. Im not sure anything below that can be masterworked at all.

good post OP. thank you.
I was digging for info on already maxed glyphs and came up short. I’m sure others asked or are curious as well. (not to take away from your OP)

This is another good question. Im glad you added it as I thought about it the other day as well. Are glyphs that are already leveled going to keep their level?

With all the disappointed Eternal players, I am surprised none of them seem to care about this topic. They are so mad about item level being dropped to where it actually should be in the stat squish that they completely ignored what happens to tempers and masterworking and glyphs.

Glyphs will be a problem because in the new season we will be only able to use 5 paragon boards. For my lightning spear build i currently use 8. So this will also decrease the power of my character.

Nope , this is part of my frustration as well. I must have spent BILLIONS in gold and MW mats to triple crit CDR on just my amulet alone .

Eternal is getting BONED.

I guess because it doesn’t really matter if they drop the ilvl what point is there for tempers, just trash at that point, maybe mythics usable till you find a new one, also thought mythics were max no matter what, that changing to?

Hopefully this is the last season that has this kind of an impact on eternal characters.

It might not. Depends on how they changed things. There are new glyphs and some nodes were changed. Also there is a new board. Also glyphs get an extra affix when they turn legendary at 46. You might not feel nerfed at all. I know it’s less options though.

Dude there is a whole thread of people telling me how 5 boards is somehow more options, it’s crazy lol

I don’t see how it could possibly be more options. I guess if I wanted to argue that it was, which I don’t, I would say you have more options on which glyphs you use because now you can only use 5. Then I would argue against that and say that’s less options because you could use 7 before. lol. There is no way it’s more options.

I guess a second argument is that you can choose more nodes now. Who cares though. They are ignored for a reason. If they want to make choice then make them compelling options.

its because eternal players make up like 1% of the playerbase.

It comes down to how they redo the boards imo, if they do it right and make them bigger maybe, but 100 Xtra points is alot for a 5 board cap how they are atm

I mean we don’t actually know the percent but even if that’s true, it doesn’t matter to my comment. They are all over the forums worried about ilvl when that’s not really what’s nerfed.

Think of all the +5 main or secondary stat you can get with that!

Dunno if that is the exact percentage, but for sure they are the minority

Yeah definitely minority.

They definitely are but I’d like to see the numbers because I wouldn’t of thought 85% of players play solo either.

I would too. I bet it’s more than people think.

Doesnt matter to eternal since we just have to refarm stuff.

I dont think you get it.

The isssue isnt an update. The issue isnt changes.

Its the frequency of changes to the game default mode relative to core/foundational components: most relevant itemization and mechanics.

An expac is always expected to come with these types of changes.
