What is it about this version of this game? Patches just seem to create so many headaches. This time around (and judging from the posts, I am not alone) the game gets hung up at character screen (if I try to access the options menu using esc) or at queue to initiate game if I click through. Have to just shut the game down. Been that way since I updated this morning…on top of the intermittent sound bug that’s been around since season 3 or so…ugh.
I even, foolishly, wasted my time uninstalling and re-installing - of course it didn’t help. This doesn’t happen with D2 or D3. What a mess. Off to play something else while I wait for…who knows how long…for there to be something that maybe fixes some stuff? Do better -
The problem is Blizzard aren’t giving themselves enough time to test the patches properly. It’s not wise but someone higher up is pushing deadlines at the cost of quality.
Well - after several hours of searching for answers and reading other posts, this has become just plain dumb. If you can play, great for you - I hope your experience is enjoyable. For the others who can’t - sorry this is happening to you as well.
I’m uninstalling this mess of a game - you’re welcome for the $$ Blizz…hopefully the quality we’ve come to expect over the last 25 years returns with Microsoft at the helm. It is sorely sorely missed. Bye, y’all!
I’ve resigned to doing nightmares dungeons and interacting with the helltides and the overworld (THE SEASONAL MECHANIC) as little as possible. I got all the way up to sixty through the helltides before the stupid patch!!
