I’ve been reading about a 1.5% chance but what actually creates that 1.5% chance? Is it every time an item drops it is 1.5% to be Mythic, or something else, like every time a Unique drops it is 1.5% chance to be Mythic?
Does the source have anything to do with it, like whether it comes from Tormented Duriel or from a helltide chest, are both 1.5% chance to be mythic?
What is the typical return for killing Duriel on T4 100 times in terms of the number of Mythic drops? Is the overall expected drop rate increased from season 4 or decreased, assuming a comparison of S4 Uber Duriel with S6 T4 Duriel?
overall drop rate has decreased since S4 for mythics.
Duriel and Andariel have higher mythic drop chance I am not sure what the number is blizzard never released it they just said higher.
I would even guess Duriel and Anderial have 1.5% chance and the rest of the bosses have like 1% or something like that .
the higher the torment tiers the more drops you get, which yields a higher chance at mythic. But drop rate remains unchanged.
The drop rate is lower but still good. I dropped 14 mythic + 2 mythic build with the sparks.
All bosses have same chance to drop mythic.
Undercity with the proper offer has I higher chance to drop mythic (got 2 from there)
This is false - Duriel and Andariel has higher chance for mythics…

Are you sure ? So Why I got most of my items from other bosses ?
Andariel didn´t drop any for me. Duriel dropped once.
Beast and Zir are the bosses that dropped almost all mythic I have.
Yes I am sure - just because you got most of your mythics from other bosses doesn’t change the fact that Duriel and Anderial has higher mythic drop rate lol
RNG is RNG - you can just go look up some posts from Blizzard official for the clarification

I have a really amazing luck… 11 times good luck.
Anyway, the tip is there… cya
For how rare the tributes are, the results have been horrendous for me. Every other tribute has guaranteed items like ancestrals, obducite, etc. - so why the hell am I doing like 10+ ascendence tributes over a couple weeks and getting only a single mythic out of it?
As he said, RNG is RNG.
I have NEVER gotten a mythic from any boss other than Duriel and Andariel. Can they drop from others? yes they can, like in your case. But the rates are higher for Duriel and Andariel.

This season I want to say I got about 20 mythics give or take. Roughly 5 of those were from other bosses, majority were definitely from Andy and Dury though. Was cool to see the lesser bosses drop them ‘often’ enough for me.
Currently sitting on 20 sparks myself and have crafted several to try and multi GA.
Doesn’t seem bad once you start really rolling in the boss mats. Until that point I felt really starved for shards though.
Since you need to farm the under-Bosses multiple times(ie more chances) to get the mats for Duriel/Andariel then I suspect it all works out to be the same thing,
I also absolutely believe that there is no “fixed” drop rate and it’s all tied to an algorithm that works based on player profile statistics. D4 is a business, not a game.
That said, I’ve “found” like 100 this season just by running whatever Boss I currently had the mats for. Under City might still questionably have the best odds but the Ascendence things are just so rare.
Would be nice to make mythic weapons tradable. I have so much in my inventory i would give them away for free. (im ssf, no trade)
Thanks, I was wondering if it really was lowered or just bad luck this season.
I know I read Duriel and Andariel have twice the chance of other bosses in season 6, but don’t know what that means in terms of actual results from farming. I’ve gotten one from T4 Grigoire and 1 from T3 Duriel, despite fighting both repeatedly on T4, as well as Zir. I actually only did Duriel once on T3 and got one, then moved to T4. Since my only other experience with this was in S4, I’m trying to figure out if I even have the time required to farm them now.
For those actually getting more than that, like a dozen or more, grats that’s great, but I’m really more interested in the number of times the boss was killed on average for each one, than how many you’ve found.
Take in account the following.
I finish the PIT in time and I have 70% chance to upgrade my glyph. I got 3 failures out of 4 many times. Makes non sense right ?
Do the other bosses even you knowing they have less chance to drop.
Blizzard math is weird.
Andy and duriel have a 1.5% chance for any of there item drops to be mythic unique which is rolled individually for each item all other bosses have a lower drop chance but a higher drop chance then the non boss drop chance but the only numbers we k ow are Andys and duriels
i’ve had bad luck the last few weeks getting maybe 3-4 mythics out of 500 or so boss runs (like 250 dur / 250 w/e else). conspiracy theory… ive started crafting more myths recently to ruin my odds or the drop rates for t4 switched to a lower torment one
umm, I can see your point there, but I think for that to be true mathematically, you will need a heck of lot more boss kills in the data to eventually even the odds out I would think.
Sample size is too small for the given amount of play time for your average player base to judge on that I think.
This takes me back to greater rifts and 70% chance to upgrade, where I would get 2/3 most of the time but occasionally 1 or zero.
As we all know it’s not 70% of the time we will get an upgrade, it’s a 70% chance each time, so for each try it’s more likely than not, but occasionally we get streaks of poop.
@TheLastTitan: Thank you for being the first person to say how many times they’ve run the bosses and the actual results in terms of mythics per runs.
That is absolutely terrible and doesn’t at all encourage me to continue spending time farming bosses that provide virtually no other benefit than a chance for Mythics (i.e. virtually zero XP and Uniques I’ve already dropped 500 times this season).
As of last post I did get another mythic from whatever his name is under the tree of whispers after realizing I could run that on T4, third natural drop this season. I haven’t really kept track of T4 bosses I’ve killed but I’m guessing about 200, including 50 Duriel, most of the others being Grigoir.
