How many do they have on d4?
I actually donāt know lol, i was hoping you knew hahaā¦
But I donāt think thousands works on 1 IP⦠I mean⦠that is just insaneā¦
I havenāt found any source for that but he seems to indicate it was in the hundreds in that interview.
Good. I didnāt have this experience at all with D4.
Thatās fine. You donāt have to agree with me or anyone else. However, D4ās GM is making some very compelling arguments in that interview as to why many of us calling the game and their philosophies trash and out of touch.
I think i read 900 or so,i canāt be sure. They have the resource of a big company though.
I mean lets look at another big dog in the industry. CD Projekt Red, for the Cyberpunk IP, I think several hundreds people worked on it for like 8 years ?
If you played Cyberpunk you know how beautiful that game is and how big that game is. It only took several hundreds of people working on it.
I think several hundreds would make more sense for D4 IP as a whole.
I just goggled it,9500 people over the development of the game.
does that count the chefs that makes lunch for the devs as well and janitors that cleans the washrooms where devs work ? I mean that just sounds insane 9500 devs working on D4 IP and we got this currnet D4 with so little content ?
No way lol
Well that what comes up when you goggle it.Currently no idea. 193 that are devs.the rest graphic testing ect 495 are just noted. Biggest development Team in the history of gaming.
I havent watched the video yet. He doesnt need to nor should he bash his own game. Still, there could be some humble there and he could say something like - it doesnt really hit the mark of what we are going for but this is what we plan to do about itā¦
I liked launch better because there was actual combat. Now its just stand in middle of hordes and hold down X. Walk through dungeon and hold down X. Walk into boss room and hold down X. Everything is deleted even off screen. Obviously we have more content now so thats a good thing.
Why is this even a post? Should just go to the comments section of the YT vid lulz.
Yea, I think you prefer a much slower, and strategic approach when it comes to slaying demons or monsters. at least during leveling stage. Cuz lets face it, in end game, if you got a good build and gear, you feel like a god. - this is apparently even more true in PoE lol
I like a faster and easier pace when it comes to leveling myself. So normal difficult suits me the best. You probably jumps into hard or expert for leveling I guess ?
I dont agree. Balance is important to the fun. More builds more things to do. I played 5 classes/builds in season 5. I played just SB in season 6. The more interclass and class balance they have, the longer I play. Why? Because when I feel that rut of too much time needed for just super small upgrades then I roll a new class and do it again. You could say⦠well you can still do that. Not me. Im not built that way. If a build doesnt have the same potential then its just a waste of time to me.
There is no endgame content in D4. Its all farming content. Lilith and pit push is really the only thing close to what I would consider end game content and pit push is pushing it. So is Lilith really because she is a joke now.
Torment starts when you complete pit 20.
Yeah, you got to watch it when you have time. Heās saying the exact opposite of what youāre saying here, along some other gems. Itās good to watch so you know what to expect from the game in the future.
Therein lies one of many systemic issues with D4. Farming the absolute best gear in the game is just 1 shotting bosses youāre forced to rota because Blizzard doesnāt know how to balance SP vs MP loot. On top of being horrendously designed, Uber Lilith has absolutely no rewards. A real pinnacle boss has exclusive drops. Pits are just the same content with bigger numbers. No new areas or items or bosses to work toward. Thatās why this game sucks for anyone who wants to put more than one or two dozen hours into a 3-4 month league.
I dont mind eventually feeling like a god for the farming content. What I need is some end game content that takes that god build to do. Pinnacle stuff. Let me open the gates of hell with this god build and go through challenging trash to get to each wing of a challenging fights with all the Big guys like Mephisto and Lilith and Baal and you know all those guys and when I do them all I can open the wing to Diablo. AND I should not be one shotting this stuff. This stuff should challenge me on a skill level, not just because they have quadrillion hit points.
Yeah, I intend to watch it here in a little bit. I already heard some of the ridiculous comments he made though. This is what he actually thinks is good for the game. He thinks thats what people want because the streamers told them this makes a good game. They wanted to āblast.ā Now the streamers who helped make the crap are abandoning it to go to a game that is the exact opposite and all the stuff they complained about here they suddenly have no problem with over there. What? you mean i have to pick up stuff off the ground? I dont wanna pick up stuff. What do ya mean I have to port to town after doing stuff, I just wanna blast.
I donāt understand how anyone that played the game fails to see that the concept of farmable bosses is in practice a terrible one. It doesnāt matter if D2 or whatever had it, itās terrible. They should be addressing it, not doubling down on it.
The concept of capstone dungeons was a great way to both test your build and look forward to. It worked great on launch but it was abandoned effective immediately after. I was expecting them to double down on it by adding more capstone dungeons with interesting boss encounters, not scrapping them completely. Like, what is wrong with those guys?
