Another Black Screen crash for 3080ti report

Like many have reported already, I had the same exact crash (black screens, fans kick on 100%), twice over the weekend. It didn’t kill my gpu like it did to others, but I’m hesitant to launch the game again until this issue is addressed because a new gpu is a lot of money and I need my pc for work.

First time was on that same cut scene for the chapel flashback that a lot of people reported, and the second was when I was south east on the map, no enemies nearby and just looking at my inventory.

My pc wasn’t struggling at all with the game and I’ve played a lot of very graphically intense pc games without ever encountering this issue before.

My hardware: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32 GB, Gigabyte GAMING OC GeForce RTX 3080 Ti (like the majority of others), Silverstone SFX 800 W 80+ Titanium Certified.

Was using the most up to date GeForce driver when this happened (version 531.29).

Limit your FPS using the NVIDIA control panel. Something under 120 FPS should do it.

I had already done that, except it was 165 frames to match my monitor.

Damn, then I wouldn’t risk it anymore until further notice. All the bricked 3080 Ti cards that have been reported so far are made by Gigabyte.

Yeah, no kidding. I’m feeling pretty fortunate to have had the crash twice without anything breaking and I don’t want to chance it anymore, despite my excitement for the game. Far too many coincidences going on for me to think that it’s not a pattern.
