You have gutted barbs completely, there are no viable builds left to compete end game, what is going on?
Devs have given zero explanation while every other class remains ridiculous in comparison to uber Lillith kills all being done in under 3 mins while there are now no barbs that can even dent her with HOTA being decimated.
HOTA is hitting for like 1/4th damage as it was earlier today. Alkaizer (Streamer) killed Lilith 3 times earleir today with HOTA barb hitting for 9-15 mil crits. He is now hitting for 1-4 mil.
Something has 100% changed but no patch notes.

Well, i’m pretty sure it’s a fix of the unintended behavior of the shockwave aspect, looks like it was ignoring armor of the target
It’s not a feature to only hit with the AoE of HotA and do more damage than the direct hit
Now barb only need some tweaks to be able to do some dps without any exploit like the past weeks
WW never recovered after being gutted, and neither did CDR, again using every other class as an example.
So that’s an odd take considering the response from a lead dev of “ill look into it” aka we nerfed it just didn’t mean to nerf it that bad and a community manager response of ''Hammer of the Ancients items players have been reporting" isn’t even close to the issue.
Let’s see what update we get, probably in a week or so.
Praying this is fixed before the weekend. Imagine logging in and your build is suddenly 1/4th as strong as yesterday. On top of the other barb targeted nerfs one after another, while other classes can kill lilith in 30 seconds with no adjustments. Even before this bug, HOTA barb took almost 15 minutes of perfect play to kill lilith, while necro kills it in 30 seconds with bad gear. Really regretting that I chose barb right now.
They might be trying to fix the unintentional double damge from the quake of HOTA. Then they some how make the effect of 1% x more damge per fury you have to increase HOTA damage stop working. Very typical Blizz method.
Most super high damage abilites are probably bugged when their broken system can not calcluate the numbers correctly, but somehow they only keep nerfing the Barbarian and keep every other class completely broken. Sorceress can kill Uber Lilith within a couple of seconds, exactly how can that class get that kind of damage unless it is bugged to infinity?

Knowing Blizz always bends a kneel to whichever group cries the loudest, blizz would probably turn around and announces that it’s not a bug is working as intended and HOTA has been “Tuned”.
That’s not true. At peak WW was doing 2.5-3 million damager per tick of the channel; around 8-10 ticks per second. 20 - 30 million dps. It was absolutely the top performer known in the entire game until the fixed the broken interactions.
It wasn’t even Gohr’s or Harrogath’s, or the Shout Aspect or Marshall… It was Edgemaster’s and Beserk Ripping aspects being bugged that produced those DPS numbers.
For all the people that want nerfs or buffs super quick – when you act super quick, this is what happens.
They thought the build was over performing, they nerfed it all, then discovered the bug in the Aspects’s disabled them for a couple of days, fixed them – and now we’re left neutered because they did nerfs really quick.
I suspect they know this now; but rather than do the same thing in reverse; they’re going to take their time and batch it with all the other buffs. You can’t just fix things when you don’t realize what’s exactly wrong – you have to understand it. To understand it, takes time.
I am being hyperbolic when I say left us neutered; because it still performs pretty good for the entirerty of the game with the exception of the echo of lilith and NM 70+ dungeons.
