Everyone told me to wait for the cash grab. I didn’t listen. I gladly bought two D4 accounts to have storage for all my toons… What a waste. I gleefully purchased cosmetics for each of my seasonal characters thinking to myself this must be how they plan to fund the game so I’ll support! When I heard there was an expansion I thought “Great I can;t wait!” all the other Diablo games had an expansion or two they must have ironed out the mechanics and created a more polished gameplay. When I heard they planned to hold back features for annual expansions like FTP MMORPG games I uninstalled… Hope you enjoyed the money it’s the last you’ll get from this 44 year old diablo player.

You get what you pay for. If they will continue to add value to my gaming time, I expect to pay them more.
I am on the fence about the VOH expansion. I am curious to see more details. I feel like Diablo should already be in the game. I am eager to see how much content that I am buying before I make a decision. I like where Season 4 is, I did not enjoy the Beta for the next update and Season 5 though. Each season has changed so dramatically, that all of my Eternal builds are trash.
I am too casual of a player to re-learn the mechanics and “Bliz Math” every season. I also think the lack of original Beta testing was a massive failure at the Corporate level. The annual expansions can work, but feel forced if they keep making the changes so top heavy. If they would have tested and got feedback, they would not have wasted a year “Tweaking” everything and we would all be much more excited for “More”, not “Different”.
I have wanted to love this game from the start, I feel that they have begun listening and going in a good direction, I just have a low trust level that the annual expansions will be released with the due diligence of such a devoted fan base.

Why should diablo already be in the game? Because the grme is named after him?
Diablo in the real world means Devil but in the world of Dirblo, the devil has been split ino 3 different people, Diablo, Baal and Mephisto. The first part of the campaign is about Mephisto, big deal. The campaign isn’t finished yet, what difference does it make having to wait to fight diablo as long as the showdown with him is epic.

I believe he should be at least a cornerstone in the lore, even if we have to pay for a few more expansions to reach him.

Indeed. Why keeping so much stuff like that ? Especially in a game where items get bound if improved and where there Will be tons of update overtime to makes previous items weak compared to the newer stuff ?
