is this seriously happening in 2023 that Gamedevs “Hide” parts of Render Engine behind a Stupid Black Overlay Layer to Trigger and Tilt due Prevent people like me that play
with an Ultrawidesetup or Nvidia Surround / AMD Eyefinity Triple Monitor Setups that have Aspect Ratios of 32:9 or even 48/9 to have a big black area on the screen left and right

this is real Stupid 2023 sorry to say directly but it getting potentially more users have a Setup Mentioned as Above
This is the kind of thing that drives me absolutely bonkers in a non competitive game.
We spend so much money to have cool setups and devs are sometimes just like… na, we don’t want you as a customer. We don’t need hardcore people like this. We stand against super ultra wide!
there are target line commands that over ride this, how ever, you may experiencing some with the games display, tearing, frameloss, black strobing, etc.
also i am aware to have details missing or disappearing at the outer screens due the LOD Design might not made for my Resolution but better to have a half Rendered World than Black nothing
Even would be ok with a Borderless Window with custom Size but even with Borderless Gaming (tool on steam) it isnt possible to get the Window mode to a Borderless Window where the Menu Buttons are moved the size of the original taskbar meaning everything u klick in the game must be at the lower edge od the buttons or it wont work
also the mouse there is no option to force the mouse cant leave the Window in window mode thats why this is no option too
so basically the multi monitor Support is completely missinghere
While pvp may be some part of it, it likely more has to do with spawning.
You can’t feasibly have everything spawned all the time, it would just be too much processing power running that ai constantly, so you spawn them when player approaches in X distance and someone running these extreme aspect ratio’s would see pop-in all the time so they limit it.
I mean, people running over 21:9 must be in the low triples at best?
Could also just be something with the way the game renders honestly, like the engines only like to render wahat is visible and SLIGHTLY outside of visible so you don’t get pop in, but who knows the engine may have problems over 21:9, you did say removing them can cause tearing/frameloss/strobing, etc
