How is nobody talking about this? It’s a game breaking exploit that makes the druid leaderboards a joke. I saw that other classes can also utilize this (Edit: Other classes can use it, but doesn’t benefit much)

Leaderboards are a joke.
The less you care about them the better.
Mostly just cheaters in one form or another.

Because doing so makes the problem worse? And including details on its operation, doubly so?
It’s the literal end game of the game. Why can’t Blizzard take this content more seriously? Bring down the hammer on whoever uses exploits. This exploit requires a macro to use so anyone using this is already breaking TOS.
I see your point Leviathan. But how do we bring this to Blizzard’s attention?

The best way is through a private channel.
Hacks@blizzard.com is probably the best. Include as much detail and references you can.
It’s not a two-way communication point, so you likely won’t get replies.

How is it the “end game of the game”? Only a small minority of a small minority even cares about it.
Not to mention it’s a single player game with a sort of “Multiplayer PVE”. What anyone else does has 0 impact on you or your game.

agreed…but when Blizz clearly knows about bugs/exploits and does absolutely nothing for multiple seasons (Rogue Umbracrux, etc) eventually most of us have come to the realization that Blizz just doesn’t care

Exaclty as Berronax said - if it doesn’t affect you, it doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be fixed. It’s a game breaking bug/exploit allowing certain classes to do a million times damage than they should. And yeah, it does affect other players and I’m hoping it gets fixed before the season ends.
no the mode itself is not bugged, it’s a exploit that I guess is general to the game. And it still does not effect anyone other than the ppl using it, this is still a single player experience, u grind loot for yourself to play better yourself

but if u insist it does, pls explain how it is in anyway detrimental to your gaming experience? Is it about bragging rights? do u feel bellitled that someone else is doing the same content faster than you?
I’m not saying that blizz should not fix this exploit or any other, but how about first fixing game breaking bugs? When Blizz offers bugfixes as features for next season u know they don’t care about anything in the game except mtx.
Barbarian Call of the Ancients exploit is not related to animation cancelling. It’s similar to the infinite call of the ancients bug last season.
You do realize exploits like these directly undermine players who are legitimately pushing for the leaderboards, right? I personally know 6 other players who no longer want to play because of these exploits.

Players looking for a build to play tend to look into the leaderboards to know which build is the strongest. They see this call of the ancients build in the top and are easily misled when they don’t realize that this was only achieved through an exploit.
They spend hours and hours following and building the build; and when they’re done, they’re dealing a million times less damage.
This is not the compelling argument u believe it is.
- the ppl looking at the leader board know it’s full of exploiters
- the ppl following those builds need more info than provided from the leader board so they have to look it up on the interwebs xD.
as stated before, sure fix this problem, but it’s not the end all be all, there are serious bugs/problems in the game that need handling first.
And if they discover the build is doing no damage they tend to look up why, I feel 0 sympathy for ppl who try to copypaste top builds without looking up why they do damage.
The druid leaderboard, yes. But look at the thousands of players in the other classes. Even just look at top 10. There’s literally only 1 player (rank 1 barb using cota) using an exploit . Wtf exploits are you even talking about?
Edit: It doesn’t look like the other classes can benefit from the animation cancelling as much as the druid.

In the tower downtime, blizzard could easily hotfix this: disable TP warplan in tower (worst case mid tower run you want to go to a warplan, you actually have to go to town first). This should have been fixed already. They can easily remove this exploit for the rest of the season and they can properly fix it later.

Exactly this. Should ideally be disabled for both tower and pits. Not sure about the barbarian infinite cota exploit though. Hopefully that has been fixed already or they have a fix for that soon.
Btw, @Peglas, I saw someone post on D4Barbarian subreddit earlier trying to understand the cota cheater’s build, which is the exactly the point I said in my post above. I’ve also seen people asking about the build in Sanctuary discord. Just some problems that this cheater is causing. But you shouldn’t care cause it doesn’t affect you.
