Spent more than 6 hours looking for one of these. Done like 50 bounties in the last 2 days and no luck. These bugged or Blizz just designed it this way? TBH - pretty frustrating - about to just give up and wait for next season.
I skipped that objective, was far easier doing everything but that objective. My problem was the gold, materials, etc. cache. I got plenty of the Ancestral ones. There’s no need to 100% all the objectives anymore.
I have done all the other objectives in tier 6. Its making me do it to finish champion status and get the rewards.
It took forever for one to appear then after that their RNG appeared to improve. Wasn’t suspicious at all. Not at all.
No it isn’t. You can do all but 1 objective and clear the chapter. Either you didn’t clear the other 5 objectives or your rewards are waiting for you to claim them… or you claimed them and you’re just confused about what you’re looking at.
i only got it at paragon 234.

I am telling you mate - I wish i could send you a SS. I have done 5/6 objectives, and the claim rewards button is not active. I will try relogging, but atm, I cannot collect the chapter reward. Do you have the expansion? I do have it so maybe for me its different.

This happened to me also. A normal relog and you can claim your reward.
Didn’t get a single Ancestral bounty cache yet, and I did plenty of whispers.
The RNG is horrid.

I made a similar thread over this issue. Whomever made these RNG objectives has no idea what they are doing. Not a single one says “kill this boss on torment 3” but we got stupid garbage like “collect a cache that never drops”. I was finally able to advance by completing the escalating nightmares(strongroom can be done regardless of affix), but its still stupid to lock seasonal progress behind rare drops.

I remember I was trying for some goofy random rare spawn item for a key in D3 and one of the parts dropped from that zone that Ravi had a chance to spawn in and after my 98,002th try, she spawn’d and I got the iZombie pet before getting that gibbering stone or whatever that piece was I needed… lol
I’m also part of the ancestral caches doesn’t seem to exist this season crowd.
P180/~50 whispers done and zero so far.

Also why I skipped that objective. It’s still not done in my seasonal journey, but I did complete everything else and ignored it. I had an easier time finding Strongrooms in escalating dungeons than I did trying to get my 3 caches for that annoying objective. Even if the escalating dungeon didn’t have a strongroom as the starting affix, the 2nd or third dungeon within the series usually did, or I found one randomly without the affix.
I have the expansion… i guess something is borked. If relogging didn’t fix it, then keep running whispers while you work on objectives for the next chapter.
I’m Paragon 192, did plenty of caches and only found my first ancient one this weekend. At that point, I was already trying to make my way into T4. Kinda late to get a “guaranteed GA” at this stage to wow me. The droprate of ancient caches seems to be absurdly low. If it’s because of being part of the season journey, I’d rather have a different objective and more reasonable droprates. It’s not as if the 1-2 GA items in that cache is going to break the game, even at, say, every 10th cache drop.
Speaking of objectives, the one that I can’t seem to get is the “do an escalating nightmare with an elite affix” one. At this point I’m not sure what that task wants me to do. I thought it was doing one with the “all elites have XX ability” affix, but the one time I had a legendary sigil with that affix, the objective didn’t trigger, once I was done with Astaroth. Maybe I did something wrong, but I still don’t have any idea.
Maybe they upped the droprate a bit.
I’ve gotten 2 ancestral caches in less than 10 paragon points since I made this post.
Might be bugged. I had to run two ENMDs with explosive elite sigil affixes before it triggered for me.
got one yesterday and boy was it underwhelming (i think it dropped 3 pieces of gear and don’t think any where actualy ancestral)
Got all season objectives just playing, 103h, minus ancestral cache. Got it today without trying…
