An quick but huge change for TEMPERS

This will help keep the tempers down in the forums as well

‘man you corny’

People are begging for a way to unbrick items, whether it just be unlimited tempers which I don’t like for the same reason I quit Diablo I as soon as I found cheats, when you get everything you want the game becomes pointless. Other people have suggested a heavy cost to reset your tempers like Rob the Barbarian was saying maybe a resplendent spark allows you to reset your tempers, another idea was that every Greater Affix you have on the item grants you +2 rolls - both of these ideas seem fair to me, it does feel terrible to brick item after item with several builds that NEED a specific roll but I came up with a quick suggestion that still keeps the tempers permanent but could greatly help frustration.

It’s really not that complicated, just allow us to either accept or reject a temper like you do with Affix Rerolls at Occultist - a lot of the time you roll for 1/4 affixes and right out of the gate you land the correct one but you got the lowest possible roll… so you go and roll your second category and after a couple rolls you get the 1/4 affix you need on that one but now you still have 4/5 rolls left and you have to say thats a wrap because we’ve all been there where you try to reroll an affix higher and most of the time that ends up bricking the entire item over a .1% damage increase and this occurrence only happens more the deeper into the season you go… if you simply let us decide whether we want to keep the temper we already had I believe the frustration with tempers would be greatly reduced. It would also help for those times where you look at this 4/5 tempers left and it just feels bad like you got these extra tempers you cant use.

Anyway Having fun in S4 please keep up the good work moving in the right direction!

Patch notes come out tomorrow, you never know, your idea could already be in there. Based on all the feedback given and quite literally hundreds of ideas on the forum for tempering, we could see some changes.

That being said if it’s not already in the patch notes tomorrow, I doubt you’ll see your ideas come to fruition. The time for feedback has passed. At least until the patch hits, then you can give even more feedback.
