The other thread at the top about not wanting forced grouping has over 100 hearts. Yours has 2. So you aren’t the only one, but in the minor minority.
I don’t care either way…
Though I’m not a fan of “Weeklies”,
Is The Dark Citadel:
Fun?
Bug Free? - lack the standard ridiculous exploits that won’t get patched for 2 weeks…
Balanced well? All classes and all manner of builds can enjoy or is it a Meta Zone Only!
Rewarding(again - Balanced rewards - not the “New Best ONLY spot to Farm!1!!1”)?
If it’s done well, I’ll participate.
If the implementation is lacking, I’ll engage with it as much as required to get achievement and ‘Weekly whatever’.
*Note: I’ve done a grand total of 2 Gauntlets. If it’s anything like that design then it’s a fail to me personally.
I quit WoW years ago now, because I was a semi-hardcore raider and I no longer had the time to raid.
I don’t want a game with a raid, I want a game where I can play solo when I have the time sporadically.
I am fine with Dark Citadel in the same way im fine with PVP or the gauntlet, in other words as long as its content that does not have exclusive rewards, or the meta in gearing etc.
Agreed. I’ve fully geared two characters in basically BIS gear and we’re only 3 weeks into the season. That’s with throwing away numerous items with bad tempers.
That’s what I’m saying. Even if you choose to completely forgo the citadel, it sounds like you won’t be missing much. People making a huge deal out of this are overreacting.

I’ve fully geared two characters in basically BIS gear and we’re only 3 weeks into the season.
How many hobbies do you have? Is this your only one? Are you working 9 to five? Are you unemployed? Are you going to school?
I work 7-4 M-F from home, and am lucky enough to be able to play while working.
Blasts puke
20 disgusting characters.

I work 7-4 M-F from home, and am lucky enough to be able to play while working.
You say it yourself, you are lucky to be able to play during work. Most people cannot do this to get BIS gear to be not kicked out of groups.
No, you’re not the only one. Many of us in active guilds have been asking for something like this.

Even though there was early outraged regarding “forced MMO features”, it was always going to be
“you’ll see other players in the open world but dungeons will be solo”
However the lack of innovation and creativity in FILLING said open world with interesting fun events and activities has made grouping in D4 very uninspiring.
I hate playing with other players, but i really want the open world fleshed out. Im not asking for “interesting, dynamic content to play with others”, but instead just “interesting, dynamic content.”
My point was, I can BIS out 2 characters in 3 weeks time playing 4-5 hours a day, then a normal person could do 1 character over the course of an entire season without too much issue. The tempering scrolls would just make it easier for casuals if anything.

When grouping in Immortal works,
I stopped right there, this isn’t that oddball mobile game. But to your question; no you aren’t, you’re just in the 20% minority. Forcing gametypes is bad, especially when the hottest item in said gametype is a “fix” to a terrible game design in Tempering that the majority of players have asked for since day one. That scroll is available outside DC from what I read, but I’m sure at a negligible drop rate.
They have said that it will take around 3.5 hours to complete. Still think it’s a good idea?
so only 100 people care about it…amongst 10s of 1000s of players…yeah you really made your point, Slick.
Are they planning on implementing other multi-wing dungeons with long(ish) run time that is solo friendly, or is Citadel the only significant dungeon inclusion?
I’m actually struggling to see what the tangible content is in the expansion. A new zone is a new tileset. A new class could be interesting but only if the content is there to keep things fresh. Citadel for those who wish to group up. Continuation of the story. Is there more?

A new zone is a new tileset
and unfortunately I saw more copy/paste monsters, just reskinned. like the fat zombies
Nope not just you. Im eagerly awaiting heading in with people, either friends or randoms via the new party finder tool. I would’ve honestly just continued to use discord to find groups, if they didn’t implement the party finder, since it’s more than capable of getting the job done.
Reading these forums though, you’d think everyone hates the coop feature of dark citadel, but it’s more like the vocal minority.
I don´t mind party content at all. It can be fun and I am looking forward for it BUT…
Huge part of aRPG players just don´t want to play in party. No matter if premade or not.
So I understand their rage.
It would like buying needforspeed and with dlc you need to play some FPS part.
Force group don´t beloing in aRPG and I can´t imagine it will end well.
- Bad rewards for raid
- they will still be upset, bcs of feeling they paid for DLC and big part is not for them.
- others would be also upset bcs why doing some content more than once if rewards suck.
- all work on raids will be wasted and we would have another gauntlet
- Good rewards.
- no groupers would be super upset bcs some rewards are gated behind it (rightfully)
- other woul be probably ok with that.
- good rewards obtainable even elsewhere
- probably good middleground where you should be able to get more or faster same in raids but still get chance outside. Still no groupers would be upset.
- Party with merc.
It would lost whole raid purpose, it would have to be trival so merc can do that.
No matter what, raids will come and we can do nothing about it. It is not like nerf/buff some affix. They already have that content and it will be released.
yep, and now discord will only be used for RMT
Diablo is solo with optional multiplayer. This forced group is actually trash and a step away from franchise roots.
Your clearly showing your new or some kind of hybrid wow Fanboy if you think them doing this is good
