I did all of Act 1, there are no more Act 1 quests. The challenge for Act 1 still says “in progress”. Is this a bug or am I missing something obvious? The only yellow stuff I see now is Act 2 and 3
The yellow quests are Campaign quests with the main storyline. The Challenge is ALL quests - esp the side quests that are blue dots. Some of those come from drops after you kill mobs or harvest resources like herbs.
This is a common complaint - there is not list for us to follow. So, they are going by the very literal complete Act 1 - meaning every quest - main or side. However, if we are missing “pet the dog” (not an actual quest) but the only dog is in the one corner that we haven’t been to, we do not know what is wrong.
how do you know which side quests are tied to act 1? The challenge is just to complete act 1. To clarify I am not talking about renown rewards. I am asking about the Quest Challenge “Complete Act 1”
Look at your challenge page.
All quests are listed in challenges. If you don’t have the challenge completed the quest isn’t completed.
Google the quest if you need to do it as a completionist or just play the game till you stumble across it.
This method works great for your first character, or a singles character account. It won’t be good in the longterm though.
According to CrispGinger, look at your challenge page. It should list all quests needed for the challenge. Also, search side quests Act 1 on internet if that does not help. Finally, you may just have to wander around until the quest pops up.
If you have done the above, you may want to report it as a bug.
Thanks for the assist. Because of IRL stuff, I do not have a single character above level 30 despite having Early Access.
I don’t think this is correct. Even the Wowhead walkthrough guide for Act 1 campaign says at the end of the last story quest for Act 1, you get credit for the challenge “Complete Act 1”. I do not think side quests have anything to do with Act 1 challenge completion and my game is bugged.
I would report it as such then.
